The more reasonable conclusion is that you voted on more flash than was necessary yesterday, and they've carried over.

You can request to have your account deleted, but Newgrounds is not in the practice of aiding in the destruction of evidence.

What's more, I seriously doubt they will be calling the Internet Crimes Unit because you're truant.

It's a perfectly justifiable law.

According to the most recent Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) study on crash rates by the number of passengers across different driver age groups, crash rates for teens rise significantly as the number of passengers increases. This is especially true for the most inexperienced drivers (16- and 17-year-olds). In 1999, 16- and 17-year-old teens driving with no passengers were involved in 1.6 accidents per 10,000 trips, yet the rate rises to 2.3 accidents with one passenger, 3.3 accidents with two passengers, and sharply rises to 6.3 accidents with three or more passengers in the car. This latter number is three times greater than the accident rate per 10,000 trips for 18- and 19-year-old teens driving with three or more passengers (2.1). Source.

The highest death rate was among drivers aged 16 years carrying three or more passengers (5.61 per 10 million trips). Source.

The courses typically count as 2 or 3 years driving experience, thus giving you a lower insurance rate. Provided you're not stupid enough to get in an accident, it will save you much more money in the long run.

Martin would remove s.33 Posted January 9th, 2006 in Politics

If anyone else caught the leader's debate tonight, you may have been surprised to hear Paul Martin say that he would push for a constitutional amendment to remove s.33, the Notwithstanding Clause. While exceedingly difficult to do, this could have far-reaching implications, depite the fact that the clause is rarely used today (and almost never outside Quebec).

If you're not familiar with it, the clause permits governments to enact legislation notwithstanding (in spite of) certain sections of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It has only ever been used by Quebec to enact certain legislations to protect the French tongue, and by Saskatchewan (albeit unnecessarily).

For more information, see here.
Or to read about s.33, see wikipedia.

Thoughts?

Response to: Vulcan Penis (Star Trek) Posted December 17th, 2005 in General

Such fools, to not know of Ponn Farr. I mean, what are they going to do if their ship is mysteriously sent to the other side of the galaxy along with the crew of an enemy ship, and there is a vulcan on board, and it will take you seventy (though actually seven) years to get home, and he is guaranteed to need a mate, but there is no way of getting one?

Have any of them thought of that? Now who will be the chief of security?

You cannot expect a person to entirely remove their own views from their career every day and dole out information like a robot. It's ridiculous to expect this.
I find the questions humourous and statements otherwise equally so.

Response to: POT is legel in Denver Posted November 14th, 2005 in Politics

Nice try, Denver. It's still illegal under Colorado state law.

The Denver district attorney's office wants people to be clear that even though the intiative passed, it's still illegal to possess marijuana under state law. They added a rarely used exclamation mark to the end of one sentence to drive home the point.
"It is still illegal to possess and consume marijuana!"
"The change in Denver's city ordinance does not change Colorado state law. It is still illegal to possess less than an ounce of marijuana anywhere in the state, and that includes Denver," says Morrissey.

Stem-Cell Debate: Suggestions Posted November 14th, 2005 in Politics

I'm not looking for an actual debate on the topic of stem cell reseach, I've agreed to participate in one. I've put my two cents in here a number of times on the subject, but I'm looking to the learned of NG to supply me with more fodder.

Here's the situation. I need to argue against stem cell reseach, preferably on solid legal grounds. Any input, from sources to precedents, arguments to philosophical questions, is welcome and appreciated.
