Yes.

Nope.. if you aren't in sight, they won't wait. ;) But they do stop driveway to driveway, unless there is a designated pickup/dropoff point on that particular block.

I wouldn't know, since I don't live in the UK. But it is very popular. The Superbowl (championship game) is considered a holiday in my house. Even my mother and I who have little interest in football watch the game and celebrate.

No. You do not even have to stop at state lines.

No.

Mostly yep. We happen to have 2, and so does someone else I know.

Yes.

They're novelty. Definitely not common.

Once a week where I live. They pick it up at the end of our driveway Tues morning around 7AM.

Extremely varied. We have mansions and we have dumps that barely qualify as living quarters. You'd be better off searching on the internet for the prices of the kind of houses you mean, and the location.
14) Does each state has its own distinctive accent? Like, equivalents of Cockneys and Geordies?
Not every single state, but it is easy to tell the northeast from south from midwest. Jersey definitely has an accent to me, and so does New York City.
