Back in fourth grade I was sitting next to one of my friends at recess. He was eating crackers. While he was paying attention to something else and talking at the same time, a splatter of bird shit plummeted straight down and bullseyed the cracker he was holding.

He came so close to eating that cracker. So damn close. I may have saved his life.

One of my idiot dogs got quilled in the face by a porcupine AND sprayed by a skunk in the same night. We had to hold him down and yank the quills out of his face while he was still practically dripping with skunk piss.

i'm an accident. does this count?

I would say no, because it wasn't you who had the accident, unless you somehow chose to be born.

Yeah the gameplay looks pretty awesome. It's built on the Cryengine 3 so it has really nice lasery explodey effects.

I'm looking forward to making a difference by piloting light/medium mechs. I never liked how in all the other MechWarrior games you had to be packing the biggest mech you could find in order to win, but now it looks like they're giving you a chance to diversify.

MechWarrior Posted July 10th, 2012 in Video Games

Anyone else looking forward to MW:O?

Beta invite pending... forever...

Which, if any, MW games have you guys played in the past? I got my start on MechWarrior 3. Great game.

Sounds like fun. Probably took you a couple of weeks, a month or two to get used to it, right? 'Less if you're a Flash prodigy.

The basics are pretty simple. Shouldn't take you more than a couple hours.

One question: What was it like? Your first time doing animation or programming something? Did you, like, learn from the internets or...?

It was basically the same as my first time having sex. It was awkward and confusing at first, but eventually I settled into a rhythm.

I always get too stoned before trying to find food in public, it's awful. I remember one situation where me and a few friends went into a diner and all ordered chicken fingers. When the waitress got to me I asked for the same thing. She asked me what side I wanted, I said medium. Bamboozled, she repeated the question, and I repeated, louder, because I didn't think she'd heard me, medium. She looked at my friends as if to ask them what the fuck I was on, but they were too busy bursting into fits of giggles to even look back at her. I was sitting there frustrated the whole time because I felt like I was the only person there being remotely sensible, and it wasn't until she had taken our orders and left that my friends described to me exactly what I had been doing wrong.

Asking if programmers or animators hanging around an audio thread...genius.

Had a wild party in the woods a while back that a lot of stories came from. One of my buds went over to the lake to take a piss, we could all hear the water trickling, then SPLASH. We looked over to see he had fallen face first into the lake while taking a leak.

I was walking from the cars to the tents with another bud and we were drunkenly slurring about some random bullshit, and all of a sudden he stopped walking for a second and did this pre-sneeze huff, then sneezeed so hard it knocked him off his feet and he landed on his back on the ground.

Later at about dawn, when the sun was just coming up, we still had some booze left over, including a full bottle of Jager, which we dared someone to chug. He obliged, got about a quarter of the way through it, dropped the bottle, and started spewing black vomit all over the place. He puked until the puke coming out turned green, then yellow, then orange, then staggered back into a thornbush, unconscious, and immediately pissed himself. We carried him back to his van and someone who hadn't had a drink in a few hours got in the driver's seat. I was trying to close the sliding door and for some reason it just wouldn't shut and kept bouncing back open, so I looked down and realized the unconscious guy's knee was in the way and I had slammed it in the door three or four times.

We drove him back to his house and dumped him in his bath tub where he woke up some 30 hours later wondering why his knee hurt so much.

I've been back in the US for 4 days and I'm still horribly jet-lagged. My internal clock is still a full 12 hours off, so even though I'm posting this at 2:26 PM it feels like 2:26 AM. It's weird to think about.

I was under the impression that Carmilla did that to Prince Charles in front of the Queen practically every time they're in the same room together...

Yes but in the Prince's case it's not so much talent as unfortunate positioning.
