Some of you might dismiss what I say as the words of a person with a sense of entitlement or something, and that's fine. But no one should feel pressured to donate to a struggling website that technically doesn't need those donations.

I'm not too tech-savvy, but I think Newgrounds's financial troubles stem from its lack of modernization. Yes, there was a redesign recently, but that isn't sufficient. I think more tech-savvy people know what I'm talking about when it comes to "modernization."

Okay, I'll bite. The thing is NG has gotten fucking gigantic over the years, but it's still difficult to sign on with advertisement agencies to generate revenue from ads because of the nature of the site; I.E. racism, cock jokes, etc., so it costs much more to maintain than it brings in. The other option Tom considered for the site, since it was such a money sink, was venture capital. However, with that, Tom would run a very real risk of losing control of the site completely, because everything the site would stand for would have to be adapted to suit the desires of outside investors who don't give a damn about the its content and statement. Basically it would be "selling out."

Ooh somebodies a high roller, well I can say a $120 mouse is COMPLETE overkill, you can do well with a $30 mouse or the one that comes packaged with your computer! What in the hell is the benefit of a $120 mouse unless it was custom made, glows in the dark and was signed by bill gates.

As for the headset....Hmmm, we talking gaming headset or something? You can get those for friggin $40-$60 or something.

Yeah, I do a lot of gaming. The mouse is pretty fucking neat, aside from the fact that it's now basically a paper weight, and the headset was really nice too. It had built-in 7.1 surround sound and was the best listening device I'd ever owned.

I'm just pissed off because one shouldn't have to expect problems like this WITHIN WEEKS of buying such expensive devices. You'd think they'd make them better.

I just have shitty luck I guess. At least they're still under warranty.

Fuck yeah, I think I finished it, been working on this non-stop since yesterday. Have some chiptune, mother fuckers!

Howdy fellas, been a while since I submitted anything. I spent 12 hours straight working on this today and it may be the best chiptune I've done so far. I'd love some input, maybe I can make it even better!

Well the right can on my $160 headset just up and died on me. Right after that, my $120 mouse started making a wicked annoying high-pitched beeping sound whenever I moved the cursor. A couple hours later and it refused to track horizontally.

In my opinion, and from my own experience, you may be better off just toughing it out in regular classes. Personally I wouldn't trust myself to develop my own regimen of working and studying, especially if I had trouble motivating myself to get out of bed in the morning. I don't know how good you are at routines but if you're anything like me your inability to fall into them could be pretty disastrous for your education. At least physically going to school forces you to settle into some kind of rhythm.

I took a break from college because I had no motivation left for anything, and that break has been getting longer and longer because I still don't have the motivation to reapply. I was going to practice my skills and come back to school refreshed and ahead of my class, but that never happened. Don't fall into a similar trap.
