I always liked reading about cults, I even tried starting my own when I was about 12. I think one of the most interesting things about them is the psychology of the followers. How people who are weak, lonely or having trouble in their life, can be so easily manipulated into following a totally foreign set of rules and beliefs. Like Aum Shinrikyo, which started off as merely a yoga class, and then escalated to be listed as a terrorist organization by several countries.
