Don't hold your breath. I don't think they even posted the winners from January yet DX

Response to: Hardest Part of Writing Posted March 31st, 2011 in Writing

The hardest part of writing? ACTUALLY DOING THE WRITING.

My biggest foe in any sort of composition is abnormally high laziness. I get an idea or something but decide not to write it out cuz it would take time and effort. I'm in the middle of writing, but I don't feel like writing until the next day, then the day after, etc. My mind simply can't stay in hyper-focused mode all day long which makes a consistent writing schedule a problem, because I'm LAZY.

Response to: I need a writer's help! Posted March 13th, 2011 in Writing

Here's my shot:

Who is to say what is real?

In an age of technological milestones much can seemingly be made from little. Where so many advances have taken precedent, a man's creativity is limited only by their imagination. Yet, as humanity delves further into the limits of their own curiosity and whimsy via science, one may wonder: What is real? What is fantasy?

Truly, a conundrum of an "enlightened" age.

(Hope that sounds good)

Response to: Donnie Darko Fans Posted March 2nd, 2011 in General

There were three things going for it when I watched the movie: The song, the creepy aspects, and that it looked like it was filmed in the 80's or early 90's.

Finances are kinda tight for me but whenever I get this game my immediate dream team will be Wesker/Amaterasu/Deadpool because they're the three I'm most psyched about. After actually playing the game though I may end up finding a better combo. Wait and see, wait and see.

Response to: Degree Seeking Writers Posted February 23rd, 2011 in Writing

I majored in English with focus on creative writing. Oddly enough I made a better grade in poetry workshop than my preferred fiction workshop. Most darned thing...

Probably gonna wind up getting a teaching degree down the road. For the moment I got my eyes set on distant shores :)

Response to: Point Of Minecraft. Posted February 12th, 2011 in Video Games

The point of the game is to suck hours of your life away building increasingly lavish and complex structures while simultaneously bugging your roommate to play it even when your roommate repeatedly says no because you just have to bring in other people into your blocky time-waste purgatory because BUILDING THINGS JUST ISN'T ENOUGH IT HUNGERS FOR SOULS! SOULS!!!!!!

Response to: World of Warcraft; Worth it? Posted February 12th, 2011 in Video Games

Well BlackmarketKraig since you're downloading the game already I suppose I could tell you my own personal experience playing WoW. I only played a trial version of the game, and I did it solely for ONE QUEST. Yup; an MMORPG filled with guilds and other activities and I did it for one single low-level quest. That quest? Knock yourself out when you get the chance.

Anyhow, it took me less than a day of game time to level up and travel far enough to find and complete the quest. The time it took me to download the game was actually longer then my overall time spent playing the game. It was an interesting experience though since I never played an MMO before, but needless to say I wasn't gonna spend 15 bucks a month after getting all I wanted out of it in a day.

You hear that Blizzard!? I didn't get sucked into your satanic tempest of addiction! My will is too strong and you just lost out on some money suckers!! HAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Response to: Pokemon Black and White Posted February 12th, 2011 in Video Games

One time I saw someone's fake fan art for Pokemon Sepia and Monochrome, which showed a young Professor Oak going out and filling the first ever Pokedex. Wouldn't that be a more interesting scenario then the last several Pokemon games? Such missed opportunity makes me sad...

At 2/10/11 11:56 AM, Haggard wrote: I AM a terrible singer, so I will not ever in my whole lifetime sing karaoke, for the sake of everyone. Not even if I meet Bahamut and Coop at a NG Meetup.

Even if there weren't NG personalities I'd still say HELL TO THE YEAH I'd sing! As long as I stay away from certain love ballads then I should be fine, but in any case I'd sing the crap out of the song selection. And based on my two prior trips to a karaoke bar it'll be hilarious beyond belief :)

Response to: Worst Pokemon Trainer Posted February 9th, 2011 in Video Games

I am going to argue that Iam the worst Pokemon trainer, more so than Ash. The only Pokemon I've played is Red and I haven't gotten past Brock. I only got five Pokemon and they're overall pretty weak-ass. At least Ash made it to the final leagues, sure through the power of friendship crap but still further then I've ever gone.

Response to: Bulletstorm General. Posted February 9th, 2011 in Video Games

I played the demo and it was outright fun. The whole skill-kill point system encourages repeated playthroughs to see what different outcomes you can make.

On a funny sidenote I came across an article that just made me laugh. Just when I thought FOX news couldn't be more stupid regarding video games they come up with this. Instant comedy my friends :D

How about Portal Defenders: The Movie: The Game? That way we have a movie to experiment with before deciding on making an actual game! (Oh wait, zuh????)

Response to: Let's Talk Alcohol. Posted February 9th, 2011 in General

I'm not really into alcohol but if offered the chance to try a new kind like Brandy or some other liquor then I'll unhesitatingly take that chance; besides it's more enjoyable when there are friends with you, which definitely helps keep me from buying the stuff outright. Like cigarettes, alcohol is an everyday commodity that's here to stay, lest we forget about the government's last attempt to say otherwise.

Also, though I'm no fan of beer, I direct your attention to this regardless.
