The Catwoman, and Flash ideas are really funny.

Added some more characters and rearranged some to fit properly. Needs to be evened out still, maybe let some go. Anymore thoughts?
Also, who is Roschard? Did you mean Rorschach?
Oh and Harley Quinn is more of a henchman... er henchwoman.
Also, just noticed, Wolverine isn't a tactician he'd be a Metahuman (well... technically he's a mutant :P).
Super healing factor, increases senses, strength and agility. His claws aren't really gadgets or hand weapons. They are apart of him.

Hahaha no problem man, i got a bit confused with your last reply, so now that you undrstood, is it a good idea if i give a prize to the best one? or the best three?
@Spoonardo
Yeah totally, let's do a skype group to disscuss the proyect. Btw i put Mr. Freeze in tacticians because he uses his suit and a freezer gun, he doesn't have any superpowers or psychic abilities, right? I could be wrong.
He has immunity to cold temperatures. His suit keeps him at cold temperatures in which he needs to survive. There seems to be too many Batman characters anyway. Thus need for a group discussion.
I think instead of talking about commissions, and all that, let's finalize a list. One that we have all talked about and are happy with. Can we have a Skype session for this? The project is getting a little too random.

Something that translates into an attack / an action in the game. SubparMan is a funny pun, but how does he fit into a battle? Of course if you have a clever explanation how someone's silly power is actually useful, that's not a problem anymore. I just wanted to bring this up to avoid trouble later on in the process.
He can still have super powers, but just a scaled down versions of superman's. Something like
Z-ray vision - Allows you to see any 1 card of an enemy deck. Has a 50% failure rate. If ability fails, show one card of your choice to enemy.
Something like that.

Ok so i think it's time to put up a list of characters that you can already do, remember, the dimensions of the illustrations will be like a square like the example i upload with this comment. Each one of these can only be picked by one person, so be fast if you wanna take Batman... too slow i already picked him hahah no i'm kidding, i'll wait until everyone has picked one. Oh yeah and remember that we're going with the idea of doing a parody of real superheroes and villains.
The list:
Tacticians:
-Batman (Fatman?)
-Joker
-Harley quinn
-Catwoman
-Robin
-Roschard
-Wolverine (The badger?)
-Mr. freeze
-Riddler
-Lex Luthor
Metahumans:
-Superman (Subparman?)
-Human torch
-Bizarro
-Mister fantastic
-Invisible Woman
-The thing
-Hulk
-Bizarro
-Captain america
-Wonder woman
Psionics:
-Brainiac
-Professor X
-Gene Grey
I think you need to flash out the list abit more. There seems to be too many DC characters on one section and too many Marvel on another. Also I don't see Mr. Freeze being a tactician.
So, uh.... any more news on this? Have you made a plan on who is doing what?
At 2/23/14 02:42 PM, Shaneul782 wrote: Hey, why not skim through the game DC universe online for character inspiration?
Or we could just go on the Marvel or DC wiki.
Some random ideas...
Batman = Fatman (A really overweight batman with costume that barely fits)
Superman = Subparman (A really skinny/nerdy looking Superman)
Wolverine = The Badger (really tiny claws, and more animal/badger like)
Yeah... I just woke up and am really out of it.

You can't choose Batman. Batman let's you choose him if he wills it! FYI. Batman chose me. ;)

Of course it's hard to come up with cool heroes and villains without cloning existing ones, but I am confident from what I read so far. Is the pet / protective / wall card idea still a thing? Cause superhero sidekicks and evil minions would fit in very well there. Keeping the main card covered until it makes a move / action is a great idea. Is that supposed to be a default thing or a special "mode" or a handicap in some levels? Overall, I see a lot of inspiring ideas. Nice job so far guys. Looking forward to how it will continue.
I like the idea of the sidekicks/henchmen being the wall/barrier. As for making making original superheroes, I had the idea that we could purposely make them like existing heroes and villains, but a version making fun of/mocking them. I think it would be quite comical. They would have similar joke names, and appearance etc. Might be fun. Thoughts?

I'm fine with superheroes and villains, but from there we need to take three types, maybe classifing according to their style of fighting, like maybe the ones that have gadgets/weapons are stronger on the ones that use their strenght. How should we classify them? We need only three groups.
Well, I think we should have -
1: Gadgets/weapons(maybe fighting arts) for non super-powered heroes.
These could be one group called "Tacticians".
2: Psychic abilities like telekinesis, telepathy, telepathic shielding, astral projection etc.
These could be one group called "Psionics".
3: General super powers like, projecting fire, ice, electricity, super strength etc.
These could be one group called "Metahumans".
It would be like rock, paper, scissors.
Rock = Metahumans
Paper = Psionics
Scissors = Tacticians
Metahumans beat Tacticians, Psionics beat Metahumans, and Tacticians beat Psionics.
Something like that maybe?

Also when you mix themes it's much more interesting, like futuristic vintage (like fallout), or medievil fantasy (like most rpgs, really)...
I think the idea of superheroes would be cool. We could have good versus evil. Super Heroes, Sidekicks, Super Villians and Henchmen, maybe? I love the idea of making our own super heroes, as making subclasses would be vary easy.
We could have something like Brawlers (non super powered like Batman), Psyonics (Like Professor X or Gene Grey), Metahumans (like most superpowered earth heroes and villians), Aliens (other early origin heroes/vilians like Superman or Silver Surfer etc.)
It sounds like it will probably be a medieval fantasy, theme. I think we should have Assassins, Magicians, and Warriors.
These could be broken down into subclasses. Assassins could be Thieves and Ninjas, Magicians could be Wizards/Sorcerers and Necromancers/Witches/Warlocks, and Warriors could be Knights, Samurai and Barbarians.
Something like the like the idea of having a main group, with sub classes. But the medieval fantasy theme is kinda overdone. It would be cool if we could branch out a little and do something that isn't so standard. Great suggestions though.
I think the most reasonable thing to do first would be to agree on a theme. Is this going to be futuristic, medievil, modern, fantasy, sci-fi, etc. It will help with us picking the ideas for the deck.

All I was doing was asking questions about your project. I have the right to ask about your credentials etc. How else would I make a decision about wanting to actually join a project? It's funny you use the term "babysit". You act like you want everyone else to do all the work, and take care of the whole project. What do you think being a project manager entails? So you have to answer some questions. Big deal.
You sure have an attitude problem. I'd advise anyone else not to deal with this immature, child. Don't worry. I won't be responding to your thread anymore. Have fun making whatever derogatory comments about me. Next time maybe you shouldn't insult someone, and lie about them?
I truly feel sorry for you.
Take care now. Bye-bye then.
Wow. Really? Calling me over sensative, and bringing up a previous project in a negative way, in an attempt to try and make me look bad? 1st of all, I didn't just drop my project for no reason. 2nd - I had a legitimate reason, which I notified the people in my project about. The fact that you would say something like that to me, confirms my suspicions about your personality. You sir need to grow up. Just because I don't want to be apart of your project, doesn't mean you should insult, and demean me, by making up falsehoods. I feel sorry for you. Good luck with your project.
I was merely finding more out. You told me to ask if I had any questions.
No need to be rude... This seems way too thrown together and your attitude is very questionable. I'm out. Good luck with your endeavor.
I understand that you want me to draw rooftop thieves, no problem there... but How can I make a card effect or base a picture off of one, if the game doesn't have any rules or basis (You should make up rules etc. and let us know what they are)
Do you guys have an idea of the premise of the card game yet? It would help greatly in choosing a theme. You said Mugen, so that suggest some sort of pop culture mashup. Can I get some more info?
Just give me what you want drawn, with an example of the style you want. I'll make some sketches up and we can go from there. You might wanna consider remaking the template design for the card. It's a good layout, but looks pretty drab.
I'll help as an artist.
