Why the hell do you actually like slipknot?
- I happen to like Corey's way of changing screaming in something more melodic.
- I like the way Sid and Craig mixed samples and scratches between the songs, not too many bands have that.
- They put on a nice live performance, and there are quite a lot of "surprises" inbetween or during songs.
- Slipknot manages to build up hate with their songs, with stuff in general alot of people can relate too.
- Lyrics as "fuck it all, fuck this world, fuck everything that you stand for. Don't belong, don't exist, don't give a shit, don't ever judge me" might be simple, but it's something you can scream too. It gives people courage.
- I already love them for over 4 years. Probably 5 already. I also like how they evolved on Vol 3, with a couple of more accoustic songs. Circle, and "the vermilions" are perfect examples.
- I like the way all you people can cause alot of drama about it. If you don't like a band, ignore them, and move on to the music you like. But if you like to spend your time on bitching that people will most likely ignore, go ahead.
-Their sound is generic, there are at leats 10.000 more brutal sounding bands out there
Who says I'm looking for more brutal bands? I don't give a shit if they are brutal/not brutal/metal/ not metal/ nu-metal. I just happen to like them.
-Their lyrics are about whining
Manowar their lyrics are about swords, dragons, and other fantasy shit. Finntroll their lyrics are mostly about stories/legends related to trolls. Don't get me wrong, I love those 2 bands too, but I rather have that whining over those lyrics.
-Their drummer isn't that good
