Dude, I don't even have anything constructive to say, just that your art is crazy righteous. (Sorry)

I like this character, she's really fun! But her legs seem short, and generally her whole lower body seems too small compared to the upper body. You've probably heard this before, but photo references make a world of difference. I've found the stock images on deviantart actually has a lot of interesting and dynamic poses to look at if you're willing to sift through all the crap.

Looking through your thread as a whole I see you're playing around a lot with style and poses, it's really neat. However, I'd like to see some more polished work from you, you seem to have the potential to do some really cool stuff.

And here's a little robot character. I promise most of the stuff I draw is not this cutesy. ):

So I've started drawing more recently after about a year of two of almost complete inactivity, but I haven't really been able to get any good feedback. I've actually frequented the art forum in the past (with another account) and found the community here to be really helpful--so here I am again. Although I pretty much did realism in the past I'm really into cartoons now and starting to experiment doing things digitally, it's all super new to me and I'd really appreciate any advise or criticism you have!

Haha, is it okay to start off with fanart? Cuz' that's what I'm doing.

You shouldn't be defensive, the people in this forum are giving you some really good advice.

It's pretty common to just replicate pictures from anime and manga when you first begin drawing, I did the same thing when I started out, but honestly it doesn't really help you develop as an artist and more importantly it's really boring. Nobody really cares that you can perfectly replicate a picture of Rorschach, they'd rather look at the original source than a knock-off. And as far as learning anatomy goes, anime contains a lot of exaggerated or just plain inaccurate proportions so looking at photos of real people for references is for more advisable.

Besides that, your work completely lacks imagination! It literally tells me nothing about you. Even fanart can give you insight into the artist. Maybe you should take a gander at the Skill vs imagination thread for more on that though.
