wow : )))

thanks for the kind words.
i usually work with pencil first.
this one the deadpool illustration was done with pen only, but only because i didn't expect it to be good.

these next ones:
1.
2.
were done with pencil then ink. India ink too.
if you think sharpie is dark, India ink is three times as dark, but it's really toxic so watch out : )

At 3/22/10 01:05 AM, cheeseskeet wrote: How do you Make a frame darker with out affecting any of the other frames because when I try darkening the back round all the other frames darken as well Help?

if you are using flash; then that uses layers.
so maybe you are painting on a different layer and you just need to either switch layers or make more frames in that specific layer.

On Frames How many is to much because doesnt it slow down your FPS when you have to many Frames because I keep duplicating the frames and moving the object inch per inch then as I play it the FPS does half way then I set it too. Help me?

its a random clips of a guy smoking thrown together to make the longest smoke session ever!

any suggestions? I plan to touch up the art A LOT! but havent gotten around to it yet... and the background is coming too.. I was thinking a living room or something

for some reason it doesn't always play. I had to reload the page 3 times for it to work.
something seems off.... like it was intentional.

Response to: What ways should i animate? Posted March 17th, 2010 in Animation

A good use of frame by frame will always be appreciated on newgrounds.
"tweening" is also a great way of filling in time. But, it can easily be exercised in a tacky way. I use tweening for landscapes, or introducing a setting.

for things that you dont want to draw all over again... you can draw it all once. then you can copy that frame and use it as a template, erasing what you can and drawing it over again. either way this is going to take forever.

If your looking for a time saver, you are still going to spend many hours.

Response to: Too abstract, too crappy? Posted March 17th, 2010 in Animation

here's the latest.
this is really difficult for me... whether that shows my lack of skill i dont know.
im trying to refine this so that it is not something going on in the background but something that is happening right in your face.

I have clean up the lines, color etc.
but im trying to get the wings right before i start.

I really appreciate your opinion.
thanks much

Response to: Gordon Freedman vs Kratos Posted March 16th, 2010 in Video Games

what this always seems to come down to, is "Who would win in a fight?"

I'm pretty sure that Kratos would win.... there's really no arguing it. he killed Zeus
and sure Gordon has technology, but i would still put my money on Kratos.
And i died multiple times in half life, and virtually none in God of War.

Response to: Rate my animation practice Posted March 13th, 2010 in Animation

Though in flash, ease usually has to do with tweening. I think here he's talking about the motion of the wave, which I wouldn't call good easing as much as good distortion in simulating motion, especially on the upswing you see the arm getting fatter, it gives the character nice weight.

here is an excellent description of ease in and ease out using traditional tools.
