web comic artist; needs writer Posted September 3rd, 2010 in Writing

My name is Joe and I draw comics. But, unfortunately Im not much of a writer.

Hopefully there's someone out there with that same problem but in reverse: a writer who doesn't want to draw. Please contact me if you have any desire to pursue this with me.

I have a very professional work ethic and I draw at least 3 hours a day with no objective in mind. I wold love an objective such as a story.

Here are some pieces that Im most proud of:

Nazgul

The Blob

Bic Deadpool

Creech

ah
thank you very much

names??? Posted June 10th, 2010 in Where is / How to?

so lately ive been noticing that some users have their names, but as well as another name with parantheses around it
for example: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/53 7571
the flash authors both have a name in parenthesees.
and i was just wondering if they signed up as these usernames, or if it's some other feature. Similiar to the clan tags in Call of Duty???

Response to: Menus Posted June 6th, 2010 in Game Development

on (release) {
gotoAndPlay(2);
}

that code will basically play frame 2

also remember have a stop(); on the frame where your menu will be so that it doesn't keep playing.

Also I'm sorry for helping you as if you are programmer I jsut don't know your Programming Knowledge. Also I'm not 100% sure this will work as I got it from a tutorial.

I hope I helped

thnaks this helped alot.
i think i just got so overwhelmed by all of the text and code....foeregin language basically.
thank you so much for responding to my posts.
i really appreciate it.

I hope i can help you?

so does size matter? : P
i mean... does the picture have to be small enough to meet the "150k limit." (This is the limit that is enforced if we intend to post it in the forums.)

but, if it exceeds 150 then we just post a link to the dunping grounds.
correct?

using audio??? Posted May 25th, 2010 in General

do we have to ask for permission to use someone's uploaded audio?

OR
more importantly; is it expected by the composer that I ask to use their song?

the line quality isn't bad but not too good.
