I'd wait, because if you get glasses now you'd end up buying new ones from the interference of your right eye.

I installed Ubuntu yesterday, and its awesome. Very fast boot up and shut down. :D

I just wish I could use FL Studio with it, then it'd be perfect.

Good job I dual booted. C:

Burning Ubuntu to CD now, gonna dual boot xp so I can still produce music.

I'd also like to use it, but I have no idea what I'm doing or if my PC could run it, I'm basically using a piece of crap.

And if I could use FL Studio. :/

That doesn't necessarily guarantee quality though. Some hobby guys might trump the pro's, but it would at least give a perspective.

I don't think so. I'm a hobbyist taking music seriously as a passion, I'd like to get somewhere one day, and I'd say 80% of us are not Professional Musicians.

This site is professional enough anyway, I mean, the general quality of submissions.

Same here, I've never thought of Newgrounds as a real Production site. But there are a handful of users who really are serious. Pretty much everyone on the forums.

To record with your keyboard in Fl, Just click the record button next to the Play and Stop icons. then Press the play button, and Play some Notes.

Just make sure you've selected the channel before you record, or you'll be recording nothing ;P

Hope it helps.

Yes you can. ;D

I'm still a novice myself, but you can Right-Click over the Tempo and select Create Automation Clip. I haven't experimented with Tempo Changes, so I'm not sure how you would specifically select 200 or 250.

I prefer to choose Edit Events, you can Vary the Tempo more accurately over a few bars. It takes a few minutes to get your head around it, but Its better than using an automation clip for tempo, as with an automation clip you can't see the tempo you're changing to.

I've been playing around with 3x Osc for a couple of months now. I've made synths in it, but when I press the button in the top left with the down pointing arrow, it just has "Save channel state as...", "Assign free mixer track" and "Rename." No option to save it as a preset.

Save Channel state as means to Save the state of what the channel is in. E.g. You made it into a supersaw, so it will be a saved preset of a supersaw.

Its a smart way of saying "Save the patch as..."
