The tablet should have come with a program that lets you paint. My Wacom Bamboo Pen came with Corel Painter Essentials 4.
Anyway.... I saw THIS on my wall today, thought I would share it. Photoshop usually has decent posts if you "like" them on Facebook.
Since my request on a different thread was ignored/too slow...
Draw circus clowns storming the beach at Normandy. They must be using only clown related objects as their weapons...
Do NOT fail me! I only ask because this masterpiece isn't at Target.

Looks good, but his arm seems a little large compared to his body. You could pull a teenage mutant ninja turtles variation out of this. As in, same weapons as the turtles, but everything else different if that is what you were asking for when you asked for suggestions.

I believe it fits the provided rubric perfectly.
Wow that looks great, it is what I envisioned when I saw the requirements.

Fine, draw circus clowns storming the beach at Normandy. They must only be equipped with "normal" objects that are usually associated with clowns as weapons.

Rules:
No sharks, top hats, bicycles, zombies, dinorsaurs or banjos.
First 10 requests are the only ones I'll do, if I don't get ten in the next thirty minutes I'm only doing whatever many that is at the times' passing.
Draw a shark wearing a top hat and riding his war bicycle while fending off ravenous dinosaurs and zombies with his trusty banjo.
Remember, rules were made to be broken.

Beautiful, I thought it would turn out to be an interesting picture, I especially enjoy the perspective. The guy screaming at the bottom kind of looks like the dude in "The Scream" by Edvaard Munch.
I vote for ZaneZansorrow.
As for mine, I wasn't able to really do anything on it... hell, I only completed the base colors : / Might have to finish it sometime when I'm not so busy. I did mention it was a WIP though, kind of surprised it made it to the voting thread. Anyway, ZaneZansorrow has my vote because it was a unique idea and definitely wasn't humanoid.
Draw two planets boxing each other and have the chunks that fly off become meteors that crush the unsuspecting people on Earth.

Looks good to me, I can really tell you tried to capture the true emotion of the piece in the varying lengths and jagged line work. You can almost feel the pure and primal agony of this picture by merely looking at the abstract man on the right as he attempts to catch all of the body parts of his dear friend flying across the sky just out of reach above him. Like the rest of this mans life, his friend is breaking apart right in front of him and there is absolutely nothing that he can do to stop it. This is truly an emotional piece of work right here. Keep it up.
Dat compression... I still need to shade and highlight the rock exoskeleton and do the background (if you hadn't noticed).
Long time no art for me, I'm a lil rusty, but tryin'.
Anyway, my idea is that this creature is like a cold blooded reptile where it needs the heat of lava to stay alive. If it fails to bathe in the lava, its solid and molten rock exterior will eventually solidify causing it to become encased in solid rock and eventually die. It developed this rock layer as protection from predators that stalk these baren waste lands.
Anyway, I'm quite busy so I don't know if I will be able to finish this...

You may have added an extra letter.
No problem, as for the music, I am not a huge fan of the long breaks. Maybe cut 1-2 seconds off of the first couple silences, or get rid of them entirely and find a way to transition between them with maybe a crescendo and a transition chord of some type. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the really long and quiet intro, you know, the part of the song that I can't hear for the first 10-15 seconds. You may also want to make the audio clip a little quieter, it caught me by surprise while I was writing this and didn't really add much to the song.
If you haven't already, you should go to the audio forums and see what they suggest, that is if you wanted suggestions...
If you didn't want any input on the song, whoops my bad, at least you got some cover art.

Looks good, but did it just moon the moon?
Here's a link for a higher quality version if you are interested...
Looking good, you just need to adjust a few things after taking a picture of your drawings and they should come out looking a little better. What do you think?
About how long does it take you to make one of these? You are really pumping them out like a boss.
If I have the time, I'll try to get in on this beef action.
Delicious.
If you make a contest, you should consider having one of the rules be that the submission must either be done by hand (drawing on paper, painted on canvas, etc.) or by mouse on the computer. Or you could just say submissions must not be created with the use of a tablet... since the prize is a tablet.
I haven't done a lot of art recently, but when it comes to getting similar things done such as projects or business presentations, I do have a few ideas. The first is that I usually make a list of what I need to get finished, and when it is due (I use Todolicious for Mac to make a checklist). Then I make myself a deal, I have to get X done on Tuesday, or else I don't get to X (junk food, night out, etc.). Just make sure the thing you are trying to bargain with isn't within reach, or else you may be using it before you finish anything. If you have to walk to a store to get your large box of Junior Mints, you aren't going to decide to walk to the store in the middle of what you have to get done.
I also really enjoy music, and one playlist in particular. It is a collection of upbeat techno/trance/house music with plenty of bass. (if you have Spotify, the playlist is HERE). Crank up the volume and crank some shit out. Feel free to follow that playlist, I will probably update it. I have a few other techniques that I use to stay on track since I am easily distracted. I guess I could post em later if you like what I have so far...

Wrong, he is actually biting off the end of an ever-growing invisible Slim Jim. Notice the pulling motion, and the use of no hands... It's all about the subtle details.
What is art? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me no more.
Ok, I see what you want.
First you have to make a copy of the person layer after you've cut out all of the background. Then you set a low threshold on the options (Image>adjustments>threshold). Now you will have a black and white picture. Next, what I do, is choose select color (select>color range...), then click on the white and delete it. This leaves you with the black portion. Then just put a color overlay on it in the blending options. Do the same process, but change the amount of threshold when you are making the picture go to black and white. So you should get something like this... At least, that's the look I think you're going for... You can always use gaussian blur if you don't like the sharp edges too.
Also, it helps to think of each threshold level as a different color. The farther left the slider is, the more black shows up, so think of that as you base color and continue. It also helps to lower the opacity of each layer so that you can see them sit on top of each other first. I hope that made a little sense...
Woah, looks similar to mine! Also, I think there is a sig request thread somewhere that you could lend your skills to.
