I assume he wants the owner to take the website down because they're profiting off his (snubbys) game without permission.

that is correct. if they will pay me I won't ask them to take the site down, though. I doubt they'd take it down either way though.

How can I find the email/contact infp of the owner of a website if they didn't publish it, is this possible? Somebody made a website called worldshardestgame.com and made a facebook ap and stuff, so obviouslly i want to talk to him to tell him to take it down.

Thanks

LiamTaylor your so stupid. Royal Mounted Police account for all of like 2% of our police force. Royal Mounties are just for show. They are just an old tradition that is still going by a few people. And Canada is the not a shit hole. Its one of the bests places I have ever been. Plus weed is basically legal here and you can walk down the street and smoke it and you probably wont get in trouble.

Yeah no kidding.. Its like one line of fucking code.. sounds like the author ripped the guy off.

Well I am the author, and I didn't rip him off he was the one that suggested that amount. Also there's thousands of lines of code in that game, things like highscore boards, pause buttons, etc. they aren't easy code for big games like this. The moving engine is only a very small part.

Also, the highscores are ordered the wrong way, he forgot to change the version 2.0 to version 3.0, he didn't mention that he bought it so everyone thinks he stole it, the links on the main menu don't hover the right color... the list goes on.

You've just gotta find a sucker like him I guess. However he's not the same thing as a sponsor, because even though the engine for the game was simple, if the game is going to get lots of hits you're going to get paid no matter how simple it is.

So I know I'm being a jerk by bringing this up but I can't help it. I sold this guy the code and nonexclusive rights to my game for some 3000 dollars, and THIS is what he did with it! I can't believe he actually wasted 3k on this piece of garbage. The graphics are exactly the same, it just looks really cruddy now. Also between every level theres like a 10 second ad.

I laughed so hard from this I actually cried.

hope he doesn't read this!

Lately Google Adsense has been very good to me, it's really easy and you make a lot of extra money that way. Like if you're getting a good 1200 impressions on your ads you looking at like a dollar or a buck fifty, and it racks up in a month. But like if you're getting like 90,000 or something, like I remember I got that once and it was like $83 bucks or something just for having the ads on that day. Google Adsense is just very awesome.

I chose text ads because they would fit the color scheme better, and as for the amount of ads it won't be as bad as it looks, the pages will be longer vertically so the ads should be spaced out more. I can't really remove any because right now I'm partially depending on ad money.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I'm going to do something w/ the background and that should be it i guess.

1) You don't need Flash for the header. That effect can easily be replicated with CSS and rollover images.

This is true.

2) Ditch the Flash navbar. It's unnecessary. Use regular HTML for the navigation instead.

Yes i should do that.

3) Add rollovers to the navigation Add some user feedback, like rollovers. A tutorial on how to do CSS rollovers.

well, the rollover for the nav right now is that the text changes color. i know how to do it with css as well.

4) Re-do your graphics. They look like they were done in MS Paint. Make the edges smooth and anti-aliased.

I did them in Flash drawing pixel by pixel, so yeah they do look pretty blocky. i didn't really think of that when i was making them, idk its kind of too late now, but definitely will do that next time.

5) Please, re-do the colors. They're a tad boring. Make them darker, or use the old color scheme, which still looks better.

i changed the colors around a bit now, they look a bit better.

6) Make a more interesting background. The current one is puke-boring...

yeah.

Code-wise, it's good, but the visuals need work.

The valid css link is the one they gave me, and if i link directly to the page then the html is no longer valid.

Have the V-Cam follow the mouse, then use your code to make the V-Cam smaller when Z is pressed.

// AS 2.0
// on V-Cam
onClipEvent (enterFrame)
{
// make smaller
if (Key.isDown (/* keycode for z */) && _xscale > 10 && _yscale > 10)
{
_xscale --;
_yscale --;
}
// follow mouse
_x = _root._xmouse;
_y = _root._ymouse;
}

If you really want to make a game, you should first try doing something on your own that you're proud of, and that will show others a) how good you are, and b) that you can commit to a project. Right now you're not showing either of those things, especially b.

Well, you really just took the audio from the movie, and then animated it using people from NG's faces. I honestly didn't like the idea, or the animation. And an immediate turn-off was how it said, "Penis." on Stamper's shirt. I'd say just to think of a better thing to do, possibly using your own creativity instead of that of others. I mean, you can parody things, but not like that. Especially if you were considering subbing in the real characters for the show...

Yes but then if you want to change what the text says you have to change every keyframe separately. Also, if you want a ton of typing text, like things characters say in a game, that would be a lot more work.

By the way tho, I do beat the super flash bros.
