4.09 / 5.00 12,195 ViewsI already saw Halo Legends, rented it a few days ago. It was a lot like the animatrix, including a whole two part cartoon dedicated to telling the history of the halo universe (forerunners). It also had a parody, which I was very excited to see, very bad....not very funny at all...Just proves that no one can create a parody of halo that works lol
I would love to see a AMA session with Adam Phillips, cycon, Chris Boe, Dim and Dan of SuperFlashBros or mathew seely (of "these pancakes are tiny" fame)
Do you storyboard all of your animations? If so, what is your personal process? If not, how do you time key points right? (process of trial and error?)
I have symbols for the eyes, inside the symbol is quite a few layers though. top is basic outline of eyes, second is mask(which should be the exact replica of bottom layer), third is pupils (being masked), and bottom layer is the backing to the eyes (the white part). I can animate inside the eyes, change em into different emotions by modifying the top layer.
The other way I saw is to have the face, and cut outs for the eyes. outlines of the eyes would obviously be on the face layer. Then have pupils on seperate layers below the face layer, and a white backing to the eyes on a layer below the pupils. same idea with changing the eyes as before, you have to manually change their shape.
I'd go with the nano machines that would keep my body in perfect health, but I would be more interested in how they could effect our world rather than just myself. Imagine if you created nano machines that broke down methane, and CO2. We would basically cut down our emissions by a lot. Of course if we have the nano-machines that make us not gain a pound after eating a pile of food, we would have to become better at our resources. Seems like we can do a lot of cool things with nanotechnology, just depends on how marketable it becomes.
Thanks for your help guys, I randomly just found it, check it out if you havent seen it before, it's still as good as I remember it.
Click to view.
it was definatly a flash cartoon on newgrounds, and if I remember correctly it was a music video. Though I have no idea to what the song was...
nah, I checked out the submissions that were related to turtles and rabbits, but I specifically remember that they were people racing. Also I think this cartoon might of been released before 2005, since I couldnt find it in the front page history
In the cartoon, two guys are racing across floating islands, racing towards a pole in the centre of the islands. One guy reaches it before the other, but crashes and looks at his surroundings, the other quickly touches the pole and gets transported away or something. Then the cartoon has a message about stopping and smelling the roses, or something. If any of you can help, I would be extremely grateful

I don't know how medals work, I asked Tom like two weeks before I submitted the zelda collab, about if it was worthy for medals, never responded. Might want to find someone who has gotten medals set up in their cartoon and ask them about the process.
Well the answer is obvious, since I was the newest person, and Castaway #1 & #2 are obviously lesbians, I'm prolly gunna die first, and they will team up and kill the third castaway.
Hmmm...I'm gunna put some ideas out there
-computer parts will become bigger because they can't make transistors small enough anymore, or that a new technology will come out making our current chips look like jokes
-Cars won't fly (not practical)
- Cars will become fully electric, and remaining gas companies will switch to other resources to produce energy
-Next generations will become even more lazy, fat and stupid
-the next generation will get screwed out of jobs because of the baby boomer's babies lol
- Videogames won't focus so much on graphics, because production costs will become too much for them to justify the graphics (sooo....unless we develop some new efficient way of designing games, they won't go much further into graphics development)
- I'm assuming in 50 years we will have atleast one or two generations of commercially sold robots that can do something useful
ya.....I think my predictions seem perfectly reasonable....but for something I wish would happen in 50 years:
- an computer screen can be displayed on a thin piece of glass (obviously containing circuitry that is not visible to the human eye)
I had full screen for a cartoon, I used AS 2.0 and I had a toggle button, and a frame at the start of the movie with some Actionscript.
Movie frame ActionScript
function toggleFullScreen(){
//if normal size, go to fullscreen, else go to normal size
if(Stage["displayState"]=="normal"){
Stage["displayState"]="fullScreen";
_root.dood.lol.gotoAndStop(2);
}else{
Stage["displayState"]="normal";
}
}
//Create a listener for each time the Stage is resized
var resizeListener:Object = new Object();
//Called each time the stage is resized
resizeListener.onResize = function () {
//Move the button to the center of the screen
toggleFullScreenButton._x=Stage.width/2;
toggleFullScreenButton._y=Stage.height/2;
}
//Add the listener to Stage
Stage.addListener(resizeListener);
and the button was
on(press){
toggleFullScreen();
}
hope that works for ya
Hey guys, here is my entry for this collab. A little known character called Jill from Drill Dozer. The game was made by the same people that made pokemon, and the game is exclusive to the Gameboy Advance. So there is no way this can't be considered Nintendo (she was even a trophy item in brawl)....
anyway.....Fla File Here
Sorry to say, you aren't gunna get any help here either, not from me and certainly not from anyone here. I've seen threads like this a million times, and they never work. The guy that asked for help just gets flamed. I am an avid member of Newgrounds and of Screwattack, and you just can't expect someone here or there to do all the hard work for you.
You gotta do it yourself, get flash, and practice till its quality. Read up on tutorials, practice and don't settle with crap.
you import the video file, using the import feature under file. I've done it before, except I'm pretty sure I used an AVI movie file. It will give you all these options, and when finally have it imported it should be spread across the entire timeline.
(that doesnt mean you can edit the movie footage in flash, just draw over it like they did in those "my Newgrounds" cartoons
Well I don't know really anything about guns...nor would I want to, but I do remember one of my history classes about World War I. The Ross Rifle, one of the worst rifles ever used for trench combat was used during the early years of WWI by Canadian Forces.
- it was too big for the trenches
- the bayonet would fall of when the gun was fired
- it jammed easily in dirty conditions
( and I must agree with dead chick, guns are pretty stupid.....now lasers on the other hand lol)

lol no, heck even the NG preloader has a link to newgrounds
Im pretty sure it will only get flagged if it redirects, without the user having a choice, something like a popup
Definitely Chocolate milk! That stuff doesn't last 1 day in my house
lame, its only for Americans....No Canadians, mexicans or Europeans >.>
Sounds like a MOST Triumphant slide ride!!

I'm running CS4, and the only way I could get to it was by selecting (or making) a movieclip, then selecting properties, then looking under filters.
If you are using MX then you dont have the ability to blur anything. Blurring wasn't added until flash 8, If you want to blur something you are going to have to blur it oldschool, in photoshop, and import pic
I don't like it one bit...that's if it is only for games. If it showcases cartoons as well then I guess its fine. I just really hate that Fulp keeps pushing for more games for the site, though I only go here for the cartoons.

Nah, its top 3 movies, and I would assume that maybe the 3.75 wasn't counted because you have been boosting the score yourself (its very obvious). Some mod may have noticed or the site itself may have recognized it. Its either that, or Newgrounds doesn't like you
maybe add actionscript on the frame after the preloader,
On the second frame (if you use AS 2.0 )
_root.play();
most likely will work, (just put it on the actionscript for the stage)

anyway, here is my send off pic for the collab
which I stole from Arkhe lol
I dunno, my first responce while watching the trailer in the movie theatre was "there weren't princesses in Louisiana..." Now that I think of it maybe she will be a beuty pagent winner, or maybe a visiting princess from another country?
Other than that, whatever I don't really care for it, since I wont see it.
After reading through the reviews, I'm actually surprised about one thing. The expectation because of the title was insanely high. A lot of people are saying that they enjoyed it quite a bit, and that they liked all the bonus content, and then give us a 6 because it didn't meet their expectations XD I'm just glad that this is done, I don't plan on helping in the slight chance there is a sequel (even though we could make an extra collab with all the rejected parts lol)
I dunno I was just caught off guard by people expecting soo much from the collab
it's not like we are NG staff (which they compare us too)
Ok guys, this is the last post I am gunna make about this collab. I have updated the cartoon one last time, and once again we have to wait for Newgrounds to change the swf in the next 24 hours. Anyway, I fixed almost everything. The only thing I didn't being the text problem that Gunstar-x mentioned. I will not fix that because it will be 30 minutes of boredom wasted on fixing a barely noticable screw up.
As for the score, I am pleased with it ^^ 4.04 is a good score.
In the past I have been or seen people in the collab raise the score just because it didn't meet their expectation. With that being said, if any of you ever keep raising the score it will just make you look pathetic. so don't ^^
Now, the only thing that would be great is if this were in the zelda collection
-Tuxedo-Mask- signs off for the final time?
Tuxedo-Mask thinks not!
