Maybe AnalPenguinFarming didn't read the article on authorisation and deauthorisation. Apple is a good source of info, too.

You're not using the right selector for it.
The # is used for selecting ids, the period "." is used for selecting classes. You also failed to select the anchor tag as well as it's link pseudo-class.

I suggest you do a little more reading up onCSSand at least go over the basics again to help you in the future and have a look at pseudo-classes if you don't know how to do the other states for your links.

You may also want to look at external stylesheets if you haven't already.

I wear warm clothes pretty much all year round because of how cold it gets where I live.

I have the NG Flash Toolbar, but I only use it to make my theme compatible with it as I dislike the money-making, user-tracking enterprise that conduit toolbars normally represent(mind you, not all conduit toolbar 'creators' take advantage of this).

Firefox is faster than IE7 or IE8 with the default phishing filters.

Some addons to note are.
-Newgrounds Classic(obligatory whore)
-NoScript(stops many viruses by only running scripts on pages you trust)
-Newgrounds Toolbar

As said before get Beta 5 it runs a lot better than Firefox 2 and has better security.
