Man that actually sucks so much. When I first signed up mods didn't care about that. Its like the board is called "general" what Re you suppoed to talk about? :P
lock if you want mods! :P
I hadn't logged into Newgrounds for 2 years and so much has changed... when did this update happen? Kudos to the webmasters! Well done!
I used to roam this site for hours back in '06-'07 and watched SMBZ, Blockhead, Egoraptor's work, and of course Tankmen.
I was never a reg here anyways, so I guess no-one cares. Bye now!

Oh yeah, Sonic Chronicles was a terrible idea as well...
Lets just start with the fact that... Sonic games have always ranged from either completely sucking, or being actually great games (not outstanding, but good enough to keep you entertained)
Sonic Adventure series were pretty much the only thing that kept Sonic alive in the 2000s, because lets be honest, before that, Sonic R sucked.... I mean... it REALLY sucked... and then there was Sonic Advance games, which were pretty good too, but not as fun as I recall the Adventure games were.
Later, came Sonic 2006, and everyone knows that story... and then came the average sonic games: Secret Rings, Unleashed ( haven't played Black Knight, so I can't really judge that one)
Sonic Colors is a decent game for me, however I just never got motivated to play it longer than 4-5 missions.
Another thing that annoys me is the fact that Sega keeps releasing re-makes, NO ports to every single system possible of the first Sonic the Hedgehog. Its the same BS with Capcom and Resident Evil games. Instead of wasting their time porting the same game to every console possible, just make a better game!
Resident Evil 2 came out for: PS1, PS1 Dual Shock edition, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube and Game.com. I swear if PS2 wouldn't have backwards compatibility, they would have released it for PS2 as well.
Anyways, that's just something that bothers me personally, I know some of you don't mind that, but the time Videogame companies spend porting or remaking games could be better used. Sometimes the remakes and ports turn out like crap most of the time..
Bottom line, the Sonic franchise is dying, and although Sonic had it's good games in the past, its just not living up to today's standards anymore, because there are much better platformers

Awww crap! I forgot most newgrounder's live in the USA! Where I live, you tell anyone those games and they'll look at you with at wtf face...
Also not mediocre. If you think these games are mediocre, then I guess you are one of the picky kinds. I found all those games enjoyable to some degree

LOL actually, this didn't happen to me, but it happened to a friend of mine.
Back in 2004 when Resident Evil 4 was hyped up, this guy asked his parents if they could get buy him that game for his birthday. Anyways, it also happens that before his birthday, his parents took a trip to Europe, so they got him a Resident Evil 4 PAL version instead of UNSC.
The funny part about this story is that he sold it to a 12 yr old looking kid for $50 XD

Yeah, but shes posting it on Newgrounds...... what are the chances of that ANYONE knew her personally who saw it. Chances are pretty slim......

Oh, no, those pics are gone... I had to delete them so I could put music on the SD card!
Funny story here:
I was cleaning around my house and I happened to stumble across a 2GB micro SD card, which I decided to use for my phone, so I could listen to music. I slotted in the SD card in my computer and that's when I realized it was my little brother's SD card (which he used to use for his phone before he upgraded to an 8GB). At first, I wanted to ask him if I could use it, but I knew he would say no because he had music, videos apps, and, *ahem* pictures....
Now........... I'm 17 and I haven't gotten a picture sent to me, like, a naked picture. I'm not gunna lie, I'm jealous that my 14 year old brother got to see a bare cleavage at the age of 14, let alone before me :'(
Well, not really before me. Since there was that one video that went viral, which, everyone in the city knows about it one way or another (2 girls making out naked, etc...) and that was averagely at the same age.
And you know what makes me even sadder? The pics are from 2 different girls... and neither are from his current girlfriend.... what a stud.
I actually want to ask him how he managed to receive these pictures, but at the same time I want to keep the SD card for music.... I'll just stick with the music for now. Its not like it matters anyways, I don't think 17 yr old girls send naked pics of themselves, you would think they are smarter than that.
tl;dr my little brother knows how to get cleavage.... and I don't

To demonstrate my love for Megaman games for the GBA. I'm only missing Megaman & Bass and Megaman Battle Network 6: Gregar ^_^
1. Resident Evil 4 (JUST AMAZING)
2. F-Zero GX (I got this like what, 5 years ago? and I still play it)
3. Ikaruga (Shoot 'em up masterpiece. I'm an arcade gamer btw, most of you would hate this game)
4. Metroid Prime Trilogy (All Metroid Prime games in one disc?)
5. Smash Bros Melee/Brawl (I liked them both equally, however I played Melee much more)
6. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (Super Paper Mario was baaaaad compared to this one)
7. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (possibly the best 3D Sonic game)
8. TimeSplitters: Future Perfect (very underrated, and sooo much fun)
9. Capcom Vs Tatsunoku (better than Marvel Vs Capcom 3 IMO)
10. Super Mario Sunshine (MUCH more challenging than Mario Galaxy = more fun)
Other games I enjoyed:
Metal Slug Anthology
Mega Man X: Collection
Kirby's Air Ride
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Beyond Good & Evil (most underrated game of the decade)
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Punch-Out!! (Wii)
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (never played the 3rd, but this one is also very underrated)
I own about 80 Gamecube games and about 20 Wii games, so I know which games I've enjoyed the most :P

Yeah they were.
And don't forget the Megaman series
:CURSE THE YELLOW DEVIL!!!
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin or Dual Strike. I have about 300h on each of them
If you had the chance to visit a si-fi video game world, which one would you visit? Post a pic if you want to!
I'm really getting into them. I used to play a lot of 2D shoot 'em ups like U.N Squadron for the SNES or Raiden Project for the PSone back when I was younger. I didn't pay much attention to 3D flying shooters because Starfox to me looked meh, but recently I tried it and it was pretty awesome.
Right now I'm playing Project Sylpheed on the Xbox 360 and I find it pretty fun despite all the hate going on around it (because the story sucked, or because the HUD takes up too much space. I really don't mind that).
And if anyones played Ace Combat 6 or Tom Clancy's: HAWX games let me know if they are good.
I'dunno but there is something about airplane games I really like ^_^
I'm surprised only 1 person so far has mentioned Megaman. Megaman music is by far the best music EVER composed for a video game...
I have:
Bayonetta
Devil May Cry 4
Fatal Inertia
Gi-Joe
Halo 3
Halo Wars
Halo: Reach
Lost Planet 2
Open Season
PGR3
PGR4
Project Sylpheed
Raiden Fighters Aces
Resident Evil 5
Street Fighter 4 (although I'm ashamed I own this garbage....)
Samurai Showdown Sen (even this is better than Street Fighter 4!)
Tony Hawks: Proving Ground
Other games I've played but do not own:
Bioshock 2
Assassin's Creed
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Darksector
Dead Space 2
Gears of War
Gears of War 2
Halo 3: ODST
Mortal Kombat vs DC Univerce
Splinter Cell: Conviction
(I've also played some Fifa and Madden games though I forget which ones :P)
Planing to Get:
Brink
Crysis 2
Marvel vs Capsom 3
Raiden IV
Vanquish
I've only been gaming Xbox 360 since last year when Halo Reach came out, September 19 something like that... and I got to say, Xbox 360 is a pretty well crafted system!
So I understand a lot of people have trouble sleeping at night (sometimes I do).
Now, this may sound like a totally ridiculous way to fall asleep, but I always imagine myself constructing a Tetris game in my mind, like as if I was actually playing Tetris. The surprising thing about this is that I memorized where all the pieces have been placed, and I also produce random pieces in my mind before placing them (so I don't just produce 1 or 2 of the same pieces)
So what do you think about to clear your mind before going to sleep?
I've recently been listening to a lot of trance, techno, hardstyle and I kinda love it now :)
Is there a program I can create my own music? I have Windows, and I know that lucky Mac users already have a music studio.
btw, I know nothing about music (technically wise) so the last thing I want is a pricey professional program :P
Thanks!
I really miss F-Zero games. Ever since F-Zero GX (not counting GP because that one was crap) I've been wanting a new F-Zero game. The only sad part is the Wii doesn't have much potential for an F-Zero game, and Xbox 360 or PS3 do have it. Think about it:
- Better graphics
- Massive, 30 player online matches (including death race!)
- More pilots
- More tracks
- More parts for more customizable F-Zero machines
What's best is that they could make more tracks and up for sale on the XBLDC :D
If the Gamecube made a masterpiece out of F-Zero, Xbox 360 and PS3 can do x2 the job.
Because seriously, Wii online sucks. And I want to play F-Zero competitively since I've actually proven myself to be amazing at F-Zero GX by unlocking the AX Cup, beating everything in Master Class, and only missing 1 F-Zero racer (the Groovy Taxi).
Everybody knows F-Zero on 360 or PS3 is not going to happen, I'm just saying it would turn out amazing...
The thing with Sega right now, is that their games have become to generic, or at least not worth playing.
Sega was a big hit because of Sonic the Hedgehog. Since the Gamecube/Dreamcast/PS2/Xbox generation Sega has released countless of unappealing games that people just don't seem to find that much interest.
Even the new Sonic games have sucked pretty bad, especially since Sonic the Hedgehog 2006.
Also, Sega is starting to get shadowed by developers like Activision, Capcom, Nintendo, Konami and Square Enix.
Its safe to say the era of Sega has come to an end, and will possibly end up teaming up with another game developer company, unless they come up with a game that blows everyones mind
- Vanquish
- Resident Evil 5
- Dead Space
- Dead Space 2
- Just Cause 2
- Darksector
- Lost Planet 2
- Devil May Cry 4
- Dante's Inferno (never played it but my friend says its fun)
I'm pretty sure there is a whole list out there...
I'm an arcade gamer, I like to play Metal Slug, Raiden, Ikaruga, Geometry Wars, Chaos Field, In the Hunt, Silpheed, U.N Squadron, Gunbird, Contra, Gunstar Heroes, etc. I'm aware of Mushihinema but the game is freaking expensive on ebay, so no way in hell am I going to buy a PS2 game for over $100
I've also never played Defender, Life Force and Gradius so I want to know how those games are.
I want to know if there are more games like these, because I like a good challenge!
Oh yea, R-Type sucks, no freaking check-points make me feel like I'm playing Silver Surfer for NES and I hate that game too. Theoretically, its like you have to beat the game without losing a single time. At least U.N Squadron has a health bar.
Soo many... :P here are my top ones:
Resident Evil 4 (I'd say game of the decade for sure)
Resident Evil 5 (Multiplayer made it x2 the fun!! Single was fun but not better than RE4)
Mega Man Battle Network Series (3rd in particular)
Mega Man X Collection (4th or 1st being my favs, I can't decide!)
Mega Man Zero (1st in particular)
F-Zero GX (I beat this game 100% Yeah, give that a try)
Metal Slug Anthology (It just never gets old)
Medal of Honor: European Assault (I spent hours on this one too)
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (I ran out of school everyday to play this game)
Metroid Prime 1 and 2 (funnest FPS EVER! 1st is more memorable though)
Timesplitters: Future Perfect (also an awesome game)
Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 (possibly the only PC game that I spent hours on)
Super Mario Sunshine (I still play this game)
Super Smash Bros (good times with my brothers and cousins)
Super Smash Bros Melee (my basement was full of friends back in the day)
Super Smash Bros Brawl (not as intense as Melee, but I really played the crap out of this one)
Ikaruga ( holy crap, I still can't beat it :( )
In the Hunt (an obscure arcade game, but so fun I spent hours on this game too)
Donkey Kong 64 (I beat this 201%, TWICE during my childhood)
wow, there is def more. There are the games that just popped up in my mind. Some are from the late 90s though :P
This is a tread to discuss any game that you anticipate for 2011, as well as the ones already out.
Some of the most anticipated games for 2011:
Brink
Bulletstorm
Gears of War 3
Killzone 3
Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Little Big Planet 2
Rage
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Uncharted 3
The only game I believe that has gotten big hype and it is already out is probably Dead Space 2.
Feel free to post any game you are looking forward to buying/play on 2011! Recommendations, quick overviews, gameplay mechanics, post anything!
