Drawing in Flash is HARD.

Twistng the lines take up a lot of CPU.

Please take your time to savour and digest anything I DRAW in FLASH. Because cooks don't cook more than a DISH a DAY! Ho ho ho ho ho.... SEXY SPANISH

Bloppity Bloop, Bloppity Blip, And Its Fleece As White As COWS

I got my paws on a tabletty-tablet during art class in school. Then I did this in Fireworks in about 5 minutes. Behind the teaeaeaeacher's back.

It's a dino! And it will infect the whole of Madagascar with rabies!

....that's also the term for 'skysausage's art'.
In other words, this is my art thread. Welcome and have some milk and cookies.

For your first course, there is duck braised in colourful sauce...

It's amazing the kind of effect you get when you switch back to plain 'ol gradients.

Try SpamTheWeb. It's quite reliable.

Anyway, the animation was quite smooth. It looked really like the original Madness. Keep going, though I suggest you try and create your own style of characters and animating, than to copy someone's idea like you did here.

Good luck.

Hey all

Once again I apologize for not being able to post frequently in this thread. I've already done my part and sent it to FlashFrog, but I was told it had to be in MX format. I was using Flash 8...

Now the filters (blurs) won't show. I may find some time another day to take the images and blur them with another program, before importing it into flash again as a Bitmap.

Next week, probably. I'm stuck with other things right now.

Good luck, everyone. Keep going.

The reflections and white areas are too bright. tone them down a bit. A little alpha maybe.

It may be a little tedious, but you can try making the head of the person overlap the header.

I've seen that in some magazines. It looks quite appealing, also makes the face look more real.

Awesome. I love the designs on his shirt, and those around his head. Do you use a tablet?

Response to: madness combat weapon sprite sheets Posted May 24th, 2008 in Game Development

I don't have the answer to you question, but I'd suggest you create a style of your own instead of using graphics and style from Madness. It's best to create your own style of animating.

Also, from your other thread I infer that you're not too familiar with Flash or animating. Don't be too ambitious because it is hard. Try starting with simple things first.

The second one is just FILTER RAPE. You can do that with an effect in Photoshop (or Paint.NET). That's not exactly artistic.

But the first one, that one's nice. It must've taken lots of effort. I like the hair on the guy.

Hey all,

Finally finished my part. Sorry some parts are a little sloppy, I kind of rushed through it because I had other more important things. But it's quite good already I think, it will be my final one.

Link to .swf

I will email the .fla to you.

My deepest apologies.

Yes! I have found the audio file. Please ignore the previous post.

Things are going pretty okay for me, trying hard to balance the collab with school work. Sorry for not posting actively in the last few weeks.

I'd go for the one on the left. But.... they're not exactly well-drawn. Make your lines clean and not all sketchy. Also, it could do with some colouring/shading, but if your intent is to have it B&W then I have nothing to say.
Ah well, good luck.

Response to: Madness Style Posted May 16th, 2008 in Art

Wow, the faces and guns are quite nicely done.

Maybe, try creating your own style instead of taking it from madness. Like connect the arms to the body? I dunno.

Oh, and the feet are facing the wrong way I think. It looks twisted to the right.

Response to: art by smee Posted May 16th, 2008 in Art

I love the bubbles and squiggles and such, they're simple, yet detailed (kind of).

And the colour is incredible too.

And the fact that you did that in Flash (if you did) is amazing.

Response to: anime art Posted May 16th, 2008 in Art

I just saw another one of his threads, and I changed my mind about whether he did this or not.

See this thread, the art he did in that is just garbage. I don't believe there would be such a difference in quality (between the art in this and that thread).

There's proof for you. Stolen.
(there's a slight chance he isn't guilty though. but it's likely to be stolen.)

Response to: Some pictures on Adobe Posted May 15th, 2008 in Art

The lines are a little blurry, try less anti-alias(or whatever the smoothing thing is called, i'm not sure).
Add some (more) shading if you're not going for 2d and cartoon-like.
Work on the hands too, they look blunt and without fingers.
And perhaps change the skin colour especially in the first one. Looks creepy and pale.

Bytheway, where are you from?

Response to: What attracts your eye? Posted May 15th, 2008 in Art

I always like things that are different; think everyone else likes that too. Take a look at art in the forums and elsewhere, then draw something that's not like what you saw.

Response to: anime art Posted May 12th, 2008 in Art

I'm confident he did this. He's from China (according to his profile and signature), I guess he's just not very familiar with the BBS. Or very fluent in English.
