Well, in light of the recent turn of events, I'm back in... Worry not, Regis... I just didn't want to let you guys down with a crap submission, but I shall prevail, and will do my best not to disappoint.

As it's been mentioned time and again, these groups are solid, and I would hate to miss the opportunity.

Well, guys... dammit. I'm out, I guess. I'm a wreck, not getting enough sleep and whatnot. Wish that hadn't been the same week as midterms. That's life, though, right?

Sorry I can't be with you guys... I'm sure no one cares, cause I was a wildcard anyway, but I'm not going to turn in something half-ass for the sake of turning something in.

Yeah, Newgrounds Time Trial is a spin-off of Newgrounds Jam. Believe it or not everything you see has been inspired by something before it. I started a "jam session" before I even came to Newgrounds, and I brought the idea over here.

Anyone is free to make a collaboration project. I was hoping to see more people get together and bring out some good work to the portal after NGJ. I'm happy to see that artists are getting more work out and getting more recognition.

I agree with Tommy; collaborating is what every serious artist should learn to love and appreciate. A true work of art is one that has been done through the collective whole and, while one person can make some extraordinary stuff, when you add in additional creative minds...

Furthermore, who was saying one week is too long for a time challenge? Do you realize how long a quality animation takes to make? I'm not talking about something you whip up in fifteen hours and say "vote fifen," man... one week is a tight deadline, especially for quality and length that one wishes to project.

Totally feel ya, almost said the same thing in my last post. But, why do something if you're not going to do it right? And if more than one of us aren't gonna make it, the whole thing will fold... messy.

Anywho, like Luis said, we'll see what happens, I suppose. More animating and less typing would probably be a good start :)

If so many people are struggling with this, you could always extend the deadline one more day; that would pit both groups on the weekend (A on Sat, B on Sun), and we wouldn't have five or six guys saying "I'm skipping work" "I missed some classes today," or "wow I haven't slept in two days." Especially if this is supposed to be the prima vera of the whole collection... Just a thought.

I hear ya, Needle. I just finalized my idea and started sketching it out today in class (oops). This is midterm week, too... dammit.

Thanks for the great comments, guys... glad I could entertain. I'd love for you to join in on this next project, and I think it'll be something really grand.

I'm setting aside all my homework and whatnot this afternoon, and will be drawing up more characters, as well as finishing the pilot episode, and jumping into number two, so that I have a wide enough range of characters to fit people in.

I'm thrilled about the great response this has created, and will be working hard to flesh this thning out to accomodate as many people as possible, even if they only have a cameo shot of a line or two.

If you'd like to send a sample sound byte of yourself potraying a unique character (something that you think will stand out from the rest), email it to me msf648s@smsu.edu. What I've been doing with the guys who have sent me stuff so far is listening to them, and creating a character based on their voice - how cool is that?

If you'd rather wait, I can send you the script when it's done, along with some character profiles, and we'll cast you somewhere.
