Is there anyway to fill a drawing/object on a different layer?
(like in photoshop/illustrator)

Response to: drawing without tablet Posted March 15th, 2011 in Animation

I rly think a tablet is needed for animating digitally-only. (no scanning or anything like that)

It would be way to tedious to use just a mouse for painting, drawing etc.
A Wacom Bamboo is good for animating and pretty cheap if you compare it to other tablets.

Response to: Looking for Upbeat Medieval Theme Posted February 20th, 2011 in Audio

Coolio, thx for the post!

And to the above post, no i will definitely credit the creator/composer of the score.
what i meant by my OP is that using copyrighted music is kinda amateurish unless its royalty free (like rly famous overused songs lol)

like if i used some Lord of the RIngs soundtrack, that would be rly obvious and kinda takes away from the film imo

Looking for Upbeat Medieval Theme Posted February 20th, 2011 in Audio

Hai!
I'm working on a medieval fantasy-themed animation, and would like to have an original theme score for it :P

I try not to use copyrighted music; then I have to credit the source for the music and it just seems that much more un-satisfying haha.

I'm looking for a Fire Emblem kind of main theme.
If you got anything, lemme know thanks!

Response to: Name the worst thing about school? Posted February 20th, 2011 in General

school was never my thing, mostly becuz i had to learn stuff i had no interest in and would later forget anyways.
i skipped college and went straight to an apprenticeship.

my parents own a restaurant and never went to college, so we'll se what happens to me lol

Didn't go 2 college Posted February 20th, 2011 in General

Who else?
How did things go 4 u?

I decided not to go and am currently self-teaching + assisting in web animations.
Hopefully things will turn out good XD

Response to: drawing - somthin' ya born with? Posted February 20th, 2011 in Art

I think some ppl draw better becuz of the way they learn.

I learn by sight, and so can kinda naturally draw better compared to others "at first", but practice is the main thing.

Response to: Critique my comedy flash, please! Posted February 20th, 2011 in Animation

Response to: Mother!!! Posted February 20th, 2011 in Video Games

Mother 1 is too hard, confusing & "freaky" (magicant lol)

mother 2 had a cool opening a nice characters + humor

mother 3 has one of the most emotional stories ive experienced (FF7 can die :P) and music is rly varied and good.

Response to: Toon Boom is just confusing Posted February 20th, 2011 in Animation

guess i just gotta experiment w/ it then, since ive watched so much tuts :P

does anyone here use it exclusively, or at least more than Flash?

Toon Boom is just confusing Posted February 19th, 2011 in Animation

DOes anyone here use Toon Boom Animate?
I srsly can't work with it :/

I think Flash is 100x easier to use lol, but i've heard Toon Boom is the way to go for mainly-animation, which is what I wanna do since I'm not good at programming/scripting at all.

So is like TB supposed to be more complicated, but in the end better than Flash for animating?
Or is Flash just the better deal overall?

Wow, thx!

Response to: Square-enix Tanks A Nintendo Game!! Posted February 11th, 2011 in Video Games

SE seems to be more about graphics and confusing ass stories rather than bringing out "new" games.

(FF-13's gameplay srsly reminds me of Xenosaga)

And FF-14, just wtf was that lol

Response to: Super Smash Bros World Posted February 11th, 2011 in Video Games

Sound Quality after Export sucks Posted February 9th, 2011 in Game Development

I'm making a music video so I imported an mp3 and it sounds fine while playing it back via the "Control" Tab.

However, when I export it, the sound gets muffled a bit and overall the quality is worse.

Is there a way to fix this?

Lemme know, thanks!

Fitting Timeframe to Audio Posted January 7th, 2011 in Game Development

Hey!
Is there a way to automatically fit the audio layer's timeframe to the length of the song?

The song I wanna use is really long in Flash (CS3) for some reason.
The song's only about 3 minutes, but I went way past the 1000 frame mark and it's still not at the end lol.

If u can help lemme know plz, thx!

well basically, im wondering if there's a grid system or something like that on flash, so I can make sure my sprites are "connected", if u no what i mean =P

Sprite Animation help Posted November 12th, 2010 in Animation

Hi!

How do you make sprites stay in a constant area?
(like say if a sprite is waving its hands, how do u do it so the whole body wont move up & down + left & right)

I'm trying it on Flash, but mine aren't exactly in place so looks fidgety lol
