You really do need to stop making a new thread every time you draw a new piece. Other than that it does look rather nice, could use a little more detail.

Fingers always look better than circles.

Draw an evil robot death machine.

I like the contrasts of this piece. It is well balanced but could use a few more different shades of gray. And you really need to post your artwork on one single thread and not make multiple topics for the same thing.

Response to: Abandoned city critique Posted April 14th, 2008 in Art

You should have just put this in your other critique my abandoned city thread.

Man thats a lot of detail, crappy scan or photo quality though. How big is the piece?

Response to: Sketch of abandoned city Posted April 13th, 2008 in Art

There are several. try programs like gimp, coral painter, photoshop. you can get 30 free trials on most products and some come with unlimited access, but have limited abilities. just google free digital photo or paint programs.

why is the anime one so much smaller than the rest of them? I like the portraits they are very nice.

Response to: Sketch of abandoned city Posted April 13th, 2008 in Art

because there is no tone or color to this piece it is hard to tell that this is an abondoned city. If you hadn't posted the title as such im sure most of the posts would have been "it's nice... but what is it?" without definition it looks like a lot of scribble on a page. darken some areas, define building outlines, add tone, some color, something to make it look more like a picture.

Response to: "PicassoHead Art" Thread Posted April 13th, 2008 in Art

Mine is just a simple picasso. its under the name seraph.

Response to: Sketch of abandoned city Posted April 13th, 2008 in Art

I think if you just added a little tone to this it would do wonders. hard to see the city through all the lines, if you get what i mean.

Response to: Critque please. Posted April 13th, 2008 in Art

I like this. while it is nice the outline overlaps make it a little hard to see the images until you look at it for a while. the other pieces on DA are good as well.

Response to: opinions please... Posted April 13th, 2008 in Art

I like it, but when doing pointillism, when you add color the color should be done the same way.
i.e. the lips instead of coloring them red with black pointillism you should have made the points red with a like black highlight. as far as the no solid colors thing, i think that is wrong. it's a matter or personal perspective. different texture values make the piece stand out, if it had all been point then it may have been serious overload.

The mouth makes it look like he's pouting. "What happen to my career? WAAAAAAAAA!!!"

Response to: My artwork in General... Posted April 12th, 2008 in Art

Why did you make a new thread for the same art that you could have put in your other one?

Response to: "PicassoHead Art" Thread Posted April 12th, 2008 in Art

That is a pretty decent application to have fun with. I think whoever designed it should have at least made the options to change the canvas you could paint on. And i would somewhat have to agree with mindchamber, if you had done that on an actual canvas that would have been amazing. I did a quick 5 minute one, its in the gallery.

Response to: Lined Paper Sketches Posted April 8th, 2008 in Art
