Those are pretty pimp. maybe the staff should work it that when you reach a certain level you could change your icon to be what ever you wanted.

Response to: Grand Theft Newgrounds logo Posted June 2nd, 2008 in Art

both of the logos are horrible. and i think the title grand theft newgrounds... is not at all good. i'd hit the storyboards again and come up with a new title for your project.

Response to: this is someting i draw Posted May 26th, 2008 in Art

Is it just me or is the woman's top half not proportionate to her bottom half? her head and shoulders look to be too big compared to the ass and legs. the rest of the composition is great though. i like the colors and the artistry.

Response to: Building MindChamber Posted May 22nd, 2008 in Art

you couls always go to an art store and get silver or gold leafing as well. depending on how you rub it on you could give it a real tattered or battle damaged look.

Response to: El Chupa Nibre Posted May 21st, 2008 in Art

I think it looks great, just one thing. either put a face in the mask or make it look like you can see the inside of the mask, to give it depth. i think the colors are ok, but if you want to make it pop make the background a contrasting compliment color to your mask, like a shade of green or something.

let me know what you all think

I think they are both decent paintings but calling them modern art is just like saying "i cant really paint but i know how to smear it around on a canvas and make it look cool." dont get me wrong i have nothing against this type of art, i just don't see what all the fuss is when it comes to that style of art.

Photoshop Design 1 wip Posted April 28th, 2008 in Art

Hey guys just thought i'd throw this out there. It is the final assignment for my design 1 class. we were told to use all the techniques we learned during the course to make a self portrait. i referenced a photo my wife took of me last year. this is the piece after 2 hours of work. the outlines was made in illustrator (although it dont look as smooth as it should) and i am coloring it in photoshop, because honestly i hate illustrator. we used a book in class and the teacher basically just said follow the assignments in the book with no real teaching from illustrator. most of the class was art history and some basic design assigments.

Critiques are welcome, and any advice would be greatly appreciated. the assignment isnt due until may 8th, so i have a labout a week to finish it.

Due to file restraints i am posting the reference picture and a link to the file i am working on.

How about external links with a not safe for work or parents warning. ... i'm not into censorship that much. Here is a real quick sketch from back then too. i think i might do this one in illustrator or photoshop so i can get some good crisp lines so i can color it.

I'll comment. I it is nice and clean, very cartoon cartoon. I like drawing in flash, it is a lot easier than in photoshop or illustrator(which i am just beginning to learn).

I pretty much drew whatever i wanted in school. My teacher never complained because she didnt want to stifle my creativity.

Response to: Walk cycles? Posted April 23rd, 2008 in Art

you need to work a little more on the turtle walk cycle it is still real choppy. the hare one is better than the turtle but could be smoothed out a little more too.

I really like this one, but for some reason her right breast (the one on the left side of the image) looks a little weird. while her left breast looks well defined and rather nice, the other looks less worked on and sort of flat.

all of you work is awesome, i love all the cloud ones. nice detail and great color.
