My side of the story:

I live in Binghamton, and my school is like 1 1/2 blocks away from the place where all this was going on. For my 7th/8th/9th period classes we just sat around and watched the news.

The day pretty much went on without incident, but I hear this one girl was flipping out and someone told her "It's the shooter" when some classroom door slammed. She pretty much had a total breakdown and burst into tears.

It all would have been fine, but on the bus ride home, we pick up this annoying-as-hell 5th grader, who said the instant he got on the bus, "Do you think the shooter gagged people with duct tape and tied them to chairs?" Jesus Christ. 12 people died, and this kid just wants to know if things turn out like they do in action movies. Kids these days.

After that, people tend to find this immature.

Recently, I saw a show about carbon fiber, and it showed it not just being used in the transportation industries, but to make musical instruments, like cellos.

Go figure.

So, that got me to thinking: as a drummer myself, what would drums with carbon fiber shells sound like, and, do they exist?

I realize that the material that makes up the drum has a big influence on the sound, and wood is the most common type (though the famous Mexican timbales are made with steel shells). Would carbon fiber drums have a decent sound, and more importantly, a decent price?

Discuss.

Homosexuality is still a wanting to reproduce, only with the wrong gender. So, from a biological standpoint, it's kind of odd, but from a political standpoint, I has no problems wih it.

Not wanting to reproduce would be just that. People who dont get horny no matter what happens because of the way their brain is wired.

So... As a new school year begins, we are doing these things called "personal fitness profiles" or something like that in gym class.

After doing a few of the things needed for these (such as X time to do 1M run, X pushups in one minute, X chinups before failure, etc.), I realized that I am really fricking out of shape.

I've never been the athletic kid, but I'm usually able to run around and do simple exercises decently, However, it seems that my slugitude over the summer has left me in really bad physical shape.

So, what sort of exercise plan do you think I should do to get back in gear?

How did you use NG in the meantime?

Or did you just go without?
