I strongly suggest a font change. While the typestyle you use is the same font that is standard in the Exile series, I don't know if it really helps the overall readability and aesthetic nature of the site. ESPECIALLY on the right side menu, let alone the top menu bars.

Also, align the 'News' box with the top of the main text box...that will make it look more organized.

Besides that it looks relatively clean and simple. A nice start for someone not to familiar with the coding process.

Time Machine is your friend man, back that shit up!

It's been too long and too many lost projects to not utilize the power of Time Machine and unfortunately it usually takes a disaster like a complete harddrive wipe for most people to realize the necessity of it. I recently dropped $220 on a 1tb G-drive from G-tech and I'm currently backing up everything. 1.2 million files from my laptop, and another 140gigs worth of other various files from my other external. With Terabytes becoming more and more common, they will only get cheaper. Hopefully I won't have to buy another harddrive for the next 2 years or so, and by that time I'll most likely have upgraded my computer.

It's worth it man, seriously.

I just moved into a new house with some friend for at least the next year or so. I live in Philadelphia. I'm trying to decide which internet provider I should go with. I've heard only bad things from Comcast (jmtb02) but they're the biggest and cheapest (i think) so probably the most ' reliable'. But if anyone know of any other type of service that is better or cheaper. Please let me know. Thanks!

I agree. It is a great tool for networking. Thats the main reason I do it. Also to follow people that I look up to and aspire to be. I follow a lot of local/big name DJs in the Philadelphia, New York areas and I've learned a lot from the little microblog posts they send out. It took a little while to get into...but oh am I in it now.

Also, the April Fools joke was supreme. Looking around the site it was amazing how many nearly unnoticeable things were changed to make it all look brilliant. They did a fantastic job with it. Everything to the little smiley faces having asian eyes...amazing.

Fall Back Plan

I'm curious as to what everyone's fall back plan is if what they are currently doing fails. Now I know this doesn't apply to some of you because you're still young, but maybe you'll have some input anyways.

Over a hookah and quite a few beers last night I got talking with a few friends about this subject. For example, my one friend is going to school now for Exercise Science and he couldn't give less of a shit about it. Says he would much rather be going to culinary school. I thought that that was interesting.

As for me, I go to art school and I am majoring in Graphic Design. I love it to death, and I feel I am a creatively artistic person and this is where I belong. However, if for some reason that doesn't pan out, or if I get lucky somewhere else, I really want to produce music and DJ at clubs. Music is my second love, and I've had more fun DJing parties than I have doing anything else. There is nothing more exciting to me than driving the beat of the party and having people love it. It's the best feeling in the world. Lucky for me, both field are absolute competitive and it's very hard to be successful in each of them.

What about you guys, outside of artsy things or programming stuff, where else could you see yourselves?
