I don't know really how to get around this without ruining my idea, and even if i would it'd probably soon crash anyway... :(

The thing is a bit similar to what happens to axeltheman (so it DOES happen to someone else! Hooray!(eer.. i mean - that's bad:)) .
A bit more details about my suspision, with an example:
i want to make 2 people's heads. so i make 1 head, and make it into a movie clip called "head1". I need one more head, but i want to make it from the previous one. So i duplicate head1, then renaming it to "head2", then draw a beard and a moustache. In the end of that process, or somewhere a bit later, Flash MX goes :POOF: .

It MAY be a coincidence, but everything seems to work fine until i get to this level. In ANY movie, not just one in particular.

But why?! Aren't you allowed to do that?

The thing happens with flashes that are in some level of progress, when i manage to make some objects, duplicates etc.
It's got to have something to do with symbols for sure, because my pre-movies can crash the moment i open the library, or about 15 secs later.

Reinstalling? Bah! I even bought a whole new computer just for it.
It didn't work tho.

After about 10-15 mins of work Flash MX goes :WHAM:. Or rather :POOF:. It disappears, like it was never opened.

Argh, the damn thing keeps crashing and i can't manage to make anything useful!!
The worst thing is it's not the fault of my computer, because wherever (on any computer) i try to work on my project(s) it goes :WHAM: and the recent result of an half hour's work disappears.

It must be because of the way i'm creating my movies..

Have any of you encountered such a problem while working?
Are there things (sequences, scripts, combinations, whatever) that possibly can MAKE Flash MX crash without any warning?
This MAY be because i use multiple duplicated objects... or some evil layerwork...

Strange thing with these flash genre classifications on NG...
The question isn't yet really "why is something here if it couldve been somewhere else", but - what does it take for a movie to make it to the Related content?

I was lucky enough to get my movie in it, but there are very good flash, very well rated, and that even made it to the front page, that were/are not "related".

When such thing disappears from the daily top 20, weekly top ..., monthly top.. etc. it disappears into the nether, into the chasm of 21000 movies where no one can find it.
