I have a Penicorn in my closet. My husband freaked out when I opened the box it came in and was like "We are NOT putting that out!"
Happy to see the Steelers come away with a win. Blake Bortles is the only thing the Jaguars have going for them. Also, what's up with those ugly-ass helmets?
Also, fuck the Patriots. That, and it's time for Tom Brady to quit while he's ahead. He's getting too slow.
This is twice now the Browns have kicked ass in the second quarter after a lousy first half. I'd like to know what was said to them in the locker room at halftime.
Also, Ravens lost LOL
I'm getting rid of mine if anyone wants it. But, it IS defective, so...
The term is "butter face."
Sometimes you get a few hairs here and there. I understand that. My husband thinks I'm nuts, but I get that shit waxed because, well, you try pulling out a bunch of lip hairs with tweezers. Sometimes it's a couple of days before I can get to the place, but the hair gets finer if you wax it, so it doesn't look that bad when the occasional hairs pop up. Also, I have every intention of getting rid of it. But you know Bert and Ernie? If a girl's upper lip is starting to resemble Bert's unibrow, it's time for her to start taking care of her appearance. People get turned off by that.
I always enjoy watching the Patriots get their asses kicked, but I think that later in the season, we'll once again find out the Chiefs have feet of clay. They haven't made enough changes in the offseason to fix the problems we saw last year.
Brady is getting old and slow. Of course, he pretty much IS the Patriots team, so I don't think they'll be much of a factor once he leaves, whenever that is. But he needs to not pull a Brett Favre and bow out gracefully.
I got the hospital paperwork yesterday and they're removing my cervix too, it turns out. I was freaked out at first, but now I understand why. There's still a chance of bleeding if they leave it in, and considering that one of my problems is dysfunctional bleeding, well...
One of my friends actually had the same surgery done, albeit for different medical issues and after having two kids. She says once I'm done, I'll have the six million dollar poon like she does. She says not only is life not really drastically different at all, it vastly improves sex. Which I wouldn't mind at all. My sex drive will probably come back since I won't have to be on birth control anymore, but I do wonder if I'll have mood swings or anything around that time of the month.
I was doing really well until I suddenly got sick and crampy again yesterday. I think my iron levels may be out of whack again since I've been getting weird-ass food cravings again.
I'm normally "meh" with babies, but I'm surprised at how much I'm squeeing over my friend's now 5-day-old son. Maybe it's because she's my friend? No, I still don't want one.

I'm amazed that the game is this close. It's actually worth watching.
The problem I see with Pittsburgh is they're like, "Oh, we're only playing Tampa Bay" (or some other bad team) and don't play with the effort that they did in Carolina last week. As for Tampa Bay, if they want to have any semblance of a season, they need to keep Glennon as their starter. I was surprised he made the throws he did at the end to clinch it.
Then there are the penalties. The unsportsmanlike conduct ones were just guys being dicks. Seriously, guys, it's Tampa Bay, not Baltimore. Calm the fuck down.
Here's the other half of the picture from earlier.
The Steelers are playing the Buccaneers this week, and the Jaguars next week. In terms of injury recovery for their starters, they couldn't have asked for a better schedule. Good news for them is that Dri Archer is expected to be back in the lineup this week too.
James Harrison is back because after all the injuries against the Panthers, they're hurting for players. While James is a badass, I'm wondering how much football life he has left in him. He did appear slow when playing with the Bengals last year. Then again, having a veteran who knows the Steelers defense and the plays is great for the younger guys who are still getting acclimated.
I liked Sherbert when he was still alive.

On my trips up to Toronto, some folks have been bitching about long wait times to see doctors or have any procedures. Any issue with that in your neck of the woods?

I've probably had this condition all my life (which would explain my difficulties as a teenager) and it's just coming to a head now. Which is actually a really scary thought.
I now look three months pregnant. My husband suggested maybe I'd feel better if I started taking those "expectant mother" parking spaces at the mall.
My hysterectomy is on November 6th. I could have scheduled it earlier, but I needed time to get things ready, especially regarding coverage at work. Now the reality is starting to hit me. Of course I'm nervous, but I'd rather have this done now than continue suffering while needing it later.
I'm wondering how this game is going to turn out. Cam Newton has a rocket arm, similar to Big Ben, but coming off an injury, he's lost his ability to scramble. If the Steelers D can pressure him enough, they can pull this one out. Of course, the Steelers aren't looking that great either. Hard to tell which way this will go.
This seems rather lopsided.

Depends on what you're making. I started working with a basic pumpkin muffin recipe. The base recipe is simple: one 9-oz can of pumpkin and one box of yellow cake mix. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. But now I'm trying throwing in stuff like walnuts or using other cake mixes, like spice cake.

Thanks. I've decided I am going through with it after all after a lot of research and thought. Even the "alternatives to hysterectomy" site admit that one is inevitable. The way I see it, I can do it now or do it later. And who knows what "later" entails. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, but I think this is for the best.
Though I do have to wait for the folks from the hospital to call about scheduling. Who knows when that will happen. Also need to worry about time off of work.

Heck, sleeping on it can change your mind. With my treatment the doctors had indicated they wanted to put me back onto the direct blood treatment. I initially held off because I thought it was worse, but now that I have been on it for a while, I am glad I finally came around to it. So give yourself some time. Think it over. Make sure the decision is what you really want.
They're going to call me eventually to schedule it, but they were going to give me a few days to make sure it was what I wanted to do. I've read more about the condition and everything I'm seeing indicates that if I were to do something like an IUD, it only slows the progression of the disease. Some of the treatments, like Depo-Provera, have their own issues.
It turns out one of my mom's friends had the same thing. She went through various treatments for five years before they finally had no choice but to do a hysterectomy. She wondered why she didn't do it sooner. I get why my mom is freaking out, but I don't want to go through a long period of misery just to delay what's likely inevitable. I should have guessed something was going to happen to me last year when the birth control I had been on just quit working and every symptom in the book came out. The one I'm on worked until all the additional bleeding and cramping for no reason happened, and that may be the disease coming through. This is one reason that conservative treatment worries me. Several of them already don't work.
In the meantime, I've also been reading about hysterectomy to make sure it's what I want to do. So far, I'm not seeing anything that will change my mind, but I have some more time.
My in-laws are coming to town on Saturday and we'll give them the news in person, since we figured that was more appropriate. I wonder how they'll take it. I figured I already was going to have some sort of conflict since they were pushing for grandkids and I had no intention, but maybe being unable to support a pregnancy either way might alleviate some issues. I dunno.

Regardless of what you choose, it seems like all the options pretty much render having children out of the picture for you. That's a bummer, even if you currently did not want children. It's one thing to choose to not have children, it's entirely another for something else to make that decision for you.
My mom is trying to convince me to get an IUD and wait. Honestly, I don't think it will help, and there are multiple reasons I don't want an IUD. All the other methods do is just slow the disease's progression, so surgery might be inevitable in the end and I'd rather not make myself more miserable. I hope this doesn't become a major issue with my family.
I'm having a hysterectomy sometime in the near future.
Finally got an answer. Turns out I have a condition called adenomyosis. I could get an IUD or hormones, but they just help with symptoms and don't actually treat anything. So I might as well put an end to all of the problems now. No, the surgery hasn't been scheduled yet. Likely in October since my parents are currently out of the country. Among all the things I feel now, I'm just happy to be rid of the part that's made me miserable for 21 years.
Well, there go the majority of my predictions for this week. Also, the Chargers won? Huh?
If the Falcons continue playing the way they are, I see the Bengals going 3-0 in the AFC North.

To make matters worse I picked the Jags to upset the Redskins... but with Cousins playing instead of RG3 that now looks like insanity! RG3 is looking increasingly like a mistake in Washington (an expensive one at that given all the picks they gave up for him).
If Dan Snyder actually maintained the turf, maybe RG3 wouldn't have blown out that knee. What happened to him this time? Last I saw, his ankle was in a cast. Maybe RG3 was a mistake, but given how Snyder runs the team, so is damn near anything else.
Saints are in the red zone now so they can still pull this out. Hoyer is racking up some good numbers for the Browns though. I may be right about them not needing Manziel if he keeps this up, unless, of course, he gets injured.
When I saw Manziel on the sidelines at last Sunday's game, he always had an earpiece in. I keep wondering what they broadcast into his earpiece. I'm guessing Young Jeezy.
Chiefs and Broncos is looking like the most interesting one of the bunch. A lot of these other matchups are lopsided.
That being said, if the Vikings manage to beat the Patriots without Adrian Petersen, it will be proof positive it's time for Tom Brady to retire. Not that Ben Roethlisberger looked any better on Thursday. Most of the time, he was like a deer in headlights.
I always felt sorry for Kate. In reality, her role in the Royal Family is just to produce children. And the minute they got married, the public and the monarchy pretty much started nagging on when they'd have kids. Basically, she's obligated to have kids to perpetuate the bloodline. It sounds like she and William genuinely enjoy being parents, but people should have children because they want to, not because there's any obligation.
On that note, there's her extreme morning sickness. I hope the Queen and the rest of the monarchy realize she is probably having another one for what she likely feels is the good of the UK. They've got the heir, and the spare is in incubation. If she stopped having kids after this, who would blame her?

OK, fine.
Hmmm....the way the Ravens played, maybe the Steelers can stumble their way to 2-0?

Unnecessary roughness. I imagine he'll be getting one of those little envelopes from the Commish in the mail too.
Well, a win is a win. Big Ben and the Steelers have run a no-huddle offense to great effect, but have no answer when one is used against them. They need to figure something out, and quick. Honestly, if Hoyer can continue leading the Browns like this, they won't need Johnny Man Seal. I do wonder what happened at halftime to turn it around though.
Also, the game today should reiterate the point: Just because you got a big lead in the first half does not mean both sides of the ball can take a nap in the second. This goes for the entire NFL.
Ask and you shall receive, I guess. One of my husband's friends sent this along.
I need an animated GIF of Antonio Brown dropkicking that guy. HIKEEBA!
Glad the Steelers seem to be getting something going finally, but they're going to have to step it up. Big Ben is lucky he threw a pick against the Browns and it went nowhere. The Ravens will NOT let him get away with that.
WTF is going on with the Eagles?

I'm upset the Steelers lost Emmanuel Sanders to the Broncos. Damn, that kid is FAST. He does need to work on ball control though, which is a bit of a wild card.
I'm wondering if the Browns are going to do the 2-quarterback thing today. Is that really a way to run a team? Then again, there's a saying that the other three teams in the AFC North are the stable two-parent households, and the Browns are the crack house by the railroad tracks. I want to see Johnny Football get sacked by as many players on as many teams as possible. But that's just me. Also, LeBron James is Cleveland's best hope for any sort of championship.
Also, I need this shirt.
