I need to make run and jump sprites, and have them play, and I also need to make the sides scroll with the character. I'd like enemies and stuff later too. And also, since the platforms fload up and down, you'd figure the guy would too, but he doesn't. Ah well. I'll try to figure that out later.

I've been looking for quite a while now, and when google fails, I guess you just need to post your own forum topic. Alright, I've found lots of useless codes for platformers, but what i'm looking for, is a code for a platformer, so that when you press the right arrow key, your character moves right, AND it plays a walking animation, when you jump, it plays a jumping animation, and when you fall off the stage, you lose a life, and you reset to the beginning of the level, not "you need to refresh if you die." Also, I want enemies, and when you get hit by one, the death animation plays, and if you jump on it, the enemy death animation plays. Can anyone give me a code for this, or help me on AIM or something with this?

Alright, I'm making a flash game called "Dimension Man Saves Christmas."

The title is supposed to sound stupid, so don't freak out. Basically, it's a very bizzare platformer, with probably 7 levels. You, the Protagonist of this game, play the role of "Dimension man." Each level is in a different dimension. No, not dimension like, the 3rd Dimension or the 2nd Dimension, Dimension like in some TV shows or movies with talking plants and mutiant people with tentacles for arms. The first dimension takes place in the normal world, and by normal I mean the world we see around us obviously. It starts out, you appear in the cutscene, when someone yells "IT'S A MAN FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION!" Then you start the level. at the end of the level, you escape to another dimension, which is "The Dimension of Crappy animation." There are other awesome dimensions. If we managed to complete this it would be amazing. let me know what you think ("This is too hard to make," or "This is a Stupid Idea") Please critique. Thanks :D

You really don't need to spend nearly that much. A good tablet is about 100$ i don't know how much that is in pounds.

I suggest practacing writing scripts yourself. Writing stcipts with a buddy is a good way to start. You should practace flash for a while too before trying to make a movie with a script also. Just a few little test animations. http://www.superflashbros.net is a good site for tutorials, and so is
http://www.flashkit.com Practace will make making movies easy, then mabye when you've practaced a while someone will help you with a script.
