wow! thanks for the overwhelming response! - i want to assure all who have posted that i am listening to all the posted work and should be contacting somone once i talk it over with my programmer!

Its been oh too long since i have dunk'd my hand in the waters that are COLLABS!!!

and as i delve into these forums i see there havent been any good ones started for a long long time....
(i sincerely dont wish to knock any of the collab runners...)

that being said, i have decided i will begin a new collab - -BUT NOT JUST YET

i have the idea, i have artists ready to rock ( no i really dont have artists...but ill pm them....)

there is one thing i will need.... a programmer!!!!!!!! ROOOOOAAARRRR!!!!

these are the things i need out of the programmer who jumps on:

- ability to compile multiple parts and insert them into one big'ol piece!

-scene select option

-skip a scene/ part option

-incororrate menu screens and credits and other shit that i make to make it look PWETTTYYYY!!!

-the ability to not be a fucking douche...

hey guys - - so i am a part of a game that has been in the works for a month or two an its nearing completion - -trouble is, our musician may have to back out - - there for we are looking for tunes!! and soon!

now, keep in mind we are looking for a very specific sound - so dont post unless you mean it

i cant reiterate that enough - - i want real music that sounds like a true adventure! no techno beats and heavy bass stuff (newgrounds is rotten with that shit.)

i know theres a billion of these posts but i am REALLY looking to do some voice work for some animations so if you need any lines done shoot me a pm and i can do em really fast! check my vids (i do most of my own voice work)

although i already have my team set up ( minus a programmer *hint hint*) i gotta agree with idot-monarch - - i was an interesting and crucial curve ball to this process

I shall need a team at some point ; ) - probably myself, a programmer, and a musician? who knows these days. maybe two artists? i'm telling you! who knows!

i also forgot to mention one of the most important parts (if it wasn't obvious enough) from the time we start (hopefully tonight or tomorrow) this whole process will take place in ONE WEEK! so it will be like an extended game jam!

i am in the process of working on TWO games right now - but at the moment the have hit a bit of a stand still.

if you are anything like me than you are broke! so heres the scheme - lets take one week and make a an awesome game and then sell the shit out of it and make some $$

we all know that making good "art" isnt about money...but to that i say...."c'mon..."

the division goes 40% art 40%programming 20%music < for any sponsorship we spend.
Art:Me
Progamming: - (be capable of making an array of different style of games)
Music: - (be able to make more than just techno - think strings, pianos ect..)

Please have skype and an abundance of availabilty over then next week - we will start as soon as the places fill up! so lets rock!

i was very impressed with these hip hop songs - not a huge hip hop buff, but i really loved some of these songs - -yo tom, any ngs events i can come chill at while i wait for pico day 2012?

making sure everyone puts their parts into one movie clip is key ( as turkey said)

i tried to put a collab together the other way and it....didnt go well to say the least haha

tell everyone to put their part into one movie clip and then put it onto the stage and stretch the amount of frames it lasts - then just line those all ups

TIP: put in peoples names on their parts yourself - dont have them do it - looks more professional ; )

Myself, Tyler, and Manly chicken are making a pico day game. YES i know its in a few days

we need a capable musician who is experienced and has a good amount of submissions we can check out to make 2-3 songs for this game! it will be epic and a great chance to get involved in PICO DAY!

and yes - upon peaking a bit of interest i would create a whopping list of details and things of that sort which would serve as the OFFICIAL thread for this project - but for now this is just meant to test the waters

but a little web site with a blog would be fantastic!

I came up with a crazy idea last night.

here it IS

ONE YEAR LONG COLLAB. 6 ARTISTS. 1 MUSICIAN. VOICE ACTORS (# unknown!)

each artist gets 2 months to complete a short episode which will contribute to a larger linear series.

i would want to gather 5(6 including me) serious animators to do this in a sorta anime-esk style

Heres the fun part - - the person who starts really decides what the characters are and look like - but once it gets to the second persons chance - they have to use/ interpret the characters in their own style BUT they get to choose what happens in the plot, they can add characters kill characters or anything! (not being too ridiculous of course.)

ALSO all the same voice actors are required to be used throughout the whole series

and the same musician will do all the music for the series so it stays consistent.

So in the end you have a complete 6 episode series released over a year by 6 artists 1 musician and a slew of talented voice actors!

I think this is one of the most original collaboration ideas i have seen and i REALLY want/plan to see it through.

As in many of the collabs i ran - i will be contacting artists via pm because i want to ensure the 5 others are talented animators at this kind of genre. BUT if you are interested let me know in this thread

if you have any ideas let me know in this thread as well! i really wanna hear what people think about this idea

so musicians, voice actors, voice directors? all interested post! because something awesome is about to start!
