FYI:

General has been doing the stickam thing forever, so I deleted the thread you made there, max. The art forum usually has one going too. There are people working on art/animation/games in both at various times.

They never require passwords ('cuz that's lame). Anyone and everyone is welcome. Typically the room names start with NG or Newgrounds, so they're easy to find without checking a thread.

Basically... color must extend (bleed) .125" beyond the trim, and important (live) stuff should be .125" inside the trim area.

Winning art can be sent as jpg, tif, eps, ai, psd, fla (all fonts included or outlined/broken apart).

Last year I did the Holiday Card Exchange. It had a small turn out ...and a few glitches, sorry! ...but it was still fun to see what everyone came up with!

I was originally going to do this as a precursor to the 2010 exchange, but I haven't decided if I'm actually going to have that this year or not (if anyone else wants to take it on, please PM me!) Instead, I decided to open this up to ANY holiday or occasion and just call it:

GREETING CARD DESIGNS 2010!!

How it will work:

- Using the specs below, design a greeting card.
- USE YOUR OWN ORIGINAL ART!!!
- Cards must be 5w by 7h -or- 7w by 5h (inches). Folding at the top or side (your choice).
- Art must be 200-300 dpi @ 100%, and include appropriate bleeds (see next post).
- I will choose no less that three (3) 'winning' designs and have them "professionally printed!"
- Winners will receive 20 CARDS and ENVELOPES to use as they please.
- This will run through October... possibly longer depending on participation.
- It's probably too late for Halloween (unless you save 'em for next year), but as I mentioned, any holiday or occasion (or non-occasion) will do.
- You can leave the insides and back blank or have a printed message, your name/info, whatever (same on all cards) on any panel. It'll be more impressive if you make it more 'authentic' looking.
- You can enter as many designs as you want, and YES, you can win more than one set of printed cards.
- You must be comfortable giving me your mailing info. If not, there's no sense in winning. You can still participate, just make your situation clear when posting.
- If your design doesn't 'win', you can still go have it printed yourself.

As usual, I'm probably forgetting a bunch of stuff, but I'll just add it as I think of it or as it comes up ;)

This may be obvious to some, but if it's confusing, the easiest way to understand it would be to grab an actual card or, if you don't have one handy, fold a piece of paper and mark it (front, back, inside top/bottom or left/right).

FFS!!! He doesn't want any comments pointing out the flaws or tips on how to improve his art. He's too good for that! So unless you're going to compliment/praise him... DO NOT POST. (Sarcastic and/or feigned compliments are also unacceptable.)
