There. Changed the cel-shading into soft one + some lineart changes. I fear to think what you all might think when you approach an actual horse. You monster.

Nah, just kidding, I`m just here to post a topic about my profile, if you are interested, visit my art work, leave reviews, and enjoy. For now there are only 20, since I`m not scouted, and anybody knows that those that aren`t scouted have a limit of 20 maximum images.
And also leave comments on my profile if you have anything to say else. And please, no offensive reviews, replies or comments ok? Thanks for your understanding, Shadowwalker15
This is my link for my profile http://shadowwalker15.newgrounds.com/
This is my link for the art work http://shadowwalker15.newgrounds.com/art /
Again, thanks a lot for your help!
Post them here then. I'm not going to look at someone's profile simply because they say they might have something interesting despite not having noticed something very important(#2 is of special interest to you) .
And writing "...if you don`t like it who cares it`s your problem..." is a pretty ignorant thing to say. Info is there to be considered, not to be discarded.
A CHALLENGER HAS APPEARED
For Aigis's egg. It looks hungry. Feed it, because you're looking more and more edible....

The thrill of writing big wall-o-texts can be too create sometimes....

Conceptart.org is full of useful, motivating and plain interesting threads. Along those is Conceptart 101 which also features many interesting exercises for self-developing one's abilities.
These are exercises #1 (the two drawings at top) and #3 (the two at bottom).
The basic point of the first one is to take a still life object, draw it aaannd then....you change it. Give it horns, make it sci-fi or whatever. The third exercise is the same, but with a scene instead of an object.
I didn't do the second because I'm too lazy to fetch a mirror and too self-conscious to desecrate my own face before the Internet. Didn't have the time to use somebody else's face either.
The full description of those exercises can be found here. I'd personally suggest reading at least a good deal of the more informative posts.
So, my exercise #1 was a still life drawing of my trusty box cutter knife. After that, I converted it into a railgun. A gigantic, aircraft carrier-sized railgun. It had stuck in my head from somewhere that for flinging something one would need such a huge railgun, but I forgot what the object was.
Exercise #3 is of two buildings and trees by my street. The tree annoyed me. So I made it an evil robot, stomping everything. Robots and destruction make everything better.
I call dibs on Aigis's blue& red egg!

The lineart for my & Intheblue's robot-themed doubles. Blue actually gave the idea of having a guy jump at a robot and I thought that with some dramatic angles that would be awesome. Of course, this isn't too dramatic, but it'll do.

Crap, wasn't supposed to be sad. Less blue needed. *clean up squad rolls in*

It's hardly still life considering that Estonia, a country just south of Finland, has temperate climate, moose and drunken bolcheviks. I other words, no savannas to rely on.
I did use photo references of savannas and sunsets but none were of this scene.

Sometimes, you stumble upon that sketch. Thatsketch starts off as a glorious idea, but once you sit down behind a paper, eager to draw it down, you find yourself staring blankly at the paper, feeling like that sketch sapped your drawing abilities.
"Okay then," you think: "I'll just start from somewhere. After all, beginning is the hardest part."
Four sketches have already made their acquaintance with the trash bin and you're already sitting there, frustrated at being unable to summon this awesome idea.
This chain of misfortune continues both throughout the process of sketching and through the process of colouring until you think "Fuck it" and perform the artistic equivalent of ragequit
Long text aside, here's today's fuckup. It was meant to be a piece of fanart for the crazily wacky Source mod Jailbreak:Source. I've always liked to hop around the madness and beat the other players to death with my laser cleaver/katana. I've always liked to play as the Dinosaurs (yes, the game is Dinosaurs vs Robots :D )
Combine those two and you get this.

There was a very interesting method in an art book I lent about creating leaves with watercolours. And the example image was such a wonderful, warm-looking savannah image that I couldn't resist the desire to try and do something similar.....well, kinda.

Two still life speedpaints. A (cannon?) shell and a mug. I was trying to wrap my head around how those high-specularity-and-sharp-terminator materials work.
Why yes, the shell is indeed in an odd position. You can thank my horribly poor planning ahead.

At some point, disappointed by the electoral campaigns, I was pondering about a political parody image. Of course, I had imagined it to be on a bigger scale and include all 5-6 major parties. Still, out of all of them, I liked the idea of the Green party rolling around on bicycles like madmen the most.
They may have pretty utopian plans, a strange party structure and difficulties with integrity. However, their spokesperson/leader drives a bicycle instead of a multimillion Mercedes Benz. For that, he wis the Internets.
Actually, he's ex-spokesperson. However, I only found ut about it after this was sketched.
Out of curiousity, how do you guys check if the image is monochrome or not?
I am disappointed. I came here, expecting to see some art and now I'm redirected. I don't want to be redirected. I want to see something or I'll just ragequit.
This was a nice way of saying "post them here". It helps to know that the Art Forum has it's own ruleset ;)
Two simple things that would improve the presentation of your drawings would be colouring them and strengthening the contrast. You can do both with a standard photo editing software (Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.NET...).
The first one will make your drawings easier to look as the lines are easier to see. Just look for a Levels or Curves tool (maybe Brightnes and Contrast) somewhere within the software and then fiddle around.
The second one is a bit more-time-consuming but tends to pay off more. Remember - you don't have to just colour whatever you depicted, you can make the whole image more interesting to look. One method is to make the otherwise grey/black lines colourful. Alternative is to add textures. For instance, this image combines colouring with textures in the background.
These two steps will only improve your presentation though. There is no shortcut to being awesome at art.

Was sitting in my living room, trying to get some schoolwork done. Got a bit frustrated and began to leave. Then I suddenly saw this little fella, sitting by the fireplace. For some reason it looked so inviting and the instinct to put it on paper was so tempting that I just sat down and made this still life drawing.
Aside from what Fifty-50 quite bluntly said...there is no shortcut to being awesome in art. You say you can't even do a stick figure. Well, then you have to learn it the hard and long way - by practicing and observing and analyzing the world around you. At this moment you could take the stylish animation path (think Madness or I Love Egg) if you'd want a reasonably well-accepted piece.
Of course, the shiny tank is an elusive specimen, avoiding submitting at all costs.

I originally had an idea for the NEWGROUNDS THROUGH THE AGES art contest to make a scene where three generations of NG tanks would be rolling side-by-side. The old NG tank, the current one and a possible future one. Attempts to make that idea a reaility didn't work out so well because the old NG tank does't really feel so distinctly different. So, it's going to have to be the current-gen tank alone.
Shiny tank is shiny.
@glacier: Nope ;)

Taken on a new project, namely fixing up the Writing Forum, which is a complete wreck.
You'll have to explain to me how the Writing forum is more of a wreck than the Art forum is.
It's been a long and dark winter. And I discovered to my horror that I have done very little art during it. So it's time to roll up those sleeves and make up for all that procrastinating and embark on a journey of self-discipline, effectiveness, dedication and damsels in distress
last point is optional
The point is - from today, the 4th of June, I'll be making and posting a new drawing/painting/model/whatever every 2 days until the 30th of August.
Will it fizzle of will it succeed? We shall see. But until then, the introductory image.

You most likely created your image in Greyscale format. When creating an image, make sure that the colour mode (or something like that) is set to RGB, not grayscale.
As for your current image, it's easiest to just start a new one in the right mode. But if you're insisting on using the current one, try finding a option to convert the image to RGB or split colour channels.

Does...that thing shoot chainsaws?
If you post something, make sure it's your own. It's bad manners to make a thread of "awesome images I found online and thought everybody should see!". Esspecially if that image in turn is made up of images created by others. And even it it weren't, the Art Forum Rules would forbid it.
If you are starting a new topic you MUST start with a piece of your OWN ORIGINAL ART.
And you can tell your friend that his work is...medicore. It puzzles me why he's put a coloured image in the background, black and white in the middle ground and then those intensely contrasted images in the foreground. Nngh
Not to mention the overall composition is lacking - In addition to what I said, the bright text cuts into the bright smoke, making reading it harder.
can't believe I just posed all that text to a guy that I'm expeting completely to ignore it
What the other guys said about the hand. I've learned that a nice way to keep you hands in proportion is to make them (open, not closed hand) as long as your face is high.
Think of it this way - if the character were to open that hand and place place it on his face, the wrist should be at the jaw and fingertips at/slightly above hairline.
