Really THAT bad? Let me know what you think.

Zeroes might be drastic, but quite frankly I'd say consider yourself lucky to be above 2.

* Lens flare suns. Just....no. You may or may not have used a lens flare there (as I haven't used the full-fledged Photoshops) but these suns look very artificial.

* The starfields. I see patterns in the starfields. Visible repetition is bad, bad, bad. It's like looking at a wall in a game and seeing the same texture repeat again and again. Most methods I've seen for making startfields for space images involve using multiple layers of white noise as base and then going over those layers with a human hand, deleting and adding at will.

* The clouds. They behave less as clouds and like a sheet of ice. Attached below is the famous "Blue marble" photo. Observe how some clouds swirl in cyclons and some appear to be dissipating.

There are a few other things that grind my gears too.....and that's for a image with so few things in it. So yeah.

It says quite clearly down there that "Image may not exceed 720px wide by 700 px tall." :/

Anyhow...

To clean up your lineart, go to Image >>> Adjustments >>>> Brightness/contrast

In GIMP, that is under Colors>>>Brightness-contrast

After you are satisfied with your lineart. do the following steps....

Uh....His way is somewhat longer and more work, I would just recomment that you make a new layer below that of where your lineart is for colour and that you set the layer mode of your lineart layer to "Multiply". That is, unless you want coloured lineart.

But if you insist...
The commands he uses are Select All, Cut, and Make New Layer, in that order. The corresponding hotkeys in GIMP are the same. Toggle Quick Mask is Shift+Q (or you can find it under the "Select" bar). Ctrl+D is Duplicate Image in GIMP, you need Deselect instead (Ctrl+Shift+A)

The exact same way you do in Photoshop, if I understand what you're trying to do correctly - stick your colours on a layer below the lineart and set the layer mode of the lineart layer to "Multiply".

Ok I see there that some people find that the actual logo look sick, and I do too ! But I need another one, because like I said, a lot of my friends/fans said the designer copied on Skrillex ... ( The designer is a dude I paid 30 FUCK** bucks to do it -___________- )

If someone wants to help me, I'm ready to pay on paypal.

Thanks,
Dronko

In that case I ask you, what would YOU like it to be like? Blocky? Thin-lettered? With your name/only a logo? Colourful/desaturated?
Afterall, you are the client, you should have at least a smidgen of an idea what you want.

Oh hello there writers. Don't mind me, just your neighbourhood artists that poked around the site and found something that might be of interest to you and that I haven't seen discussed anywhere.

This is the NG Style sheet found under Community->Downloads->NG Design assets.
Hello, who is this between Art and Channels?

And for those curious, the file was updated as of 18.01.12, so recent enough

Well this is new: DAZ 3D, Bryce and Hexagon are all free for a limited time.

I'm not sure what this DAZ 3D is, it sounds like a beefed up Poser.
Bryce should be a vastly more powerful version of Terragen, for creaing landscapes and scenes.
Hexagon.....I have no idea.

Either way, you might as well nab them now. Doesn't sound like there will be any time limitations - you should be use them and download them after the sale.

Even though i'm not certain about the dark lines, knowing that you can't tell the beasts apart means something, so i made the kraken red-ish.

The redder Kraken helps, but I'd say tone down the water splashing too. It's not currently conveying the message that they are in water very effectively and they only serve to make the image more confusing. Also, try giving the dragon's body some more form-indicative shading, the one currently has trouble demonstrating that it has a round body.

@test-object - I have no idea what is going on in your piece, where the dragon starts and background begins, wheter the creature even has eyes or only oversized nostrils and wheter the image is suuposed to be surreal or note. Something to think about.

Ah, finally, a WIP. For too long did I try to make a different version work ( a Tron-based chinese dragon) that just didn't work out. Now I went back to the ol' classic Western dragon. Sitting there. Chilling.

Forgive the lad, for he is French, but he reports that, having difficulties finding illustrations for fantasy books, Wikipedia is more than willing to display fan art on the book's page. An interesting opportunity...

It's always best if you actually show what website it is that you want the clock to look good on. If I were to make an orange clock and then find out that your website is bright pink, it wouldn't really look good.

Also, I think you already noticed that is not how you add images. Look for the "Include picture" row.

Well that's an ambitious statement. I don't recall Sculptris having animation capabilities or rigging. Also, I suspect it outputs models at a hideously high polycount, making it unusable for game development (and animation that you want to have rendered in this millenia).

With that out of the way....3D sculpting is fun. Give it a shot.

Response to: Ng Minecraft Texture Pack Posted January 8th, 2012 in Art

Also, high res texture packs have absolutely hideous viewmodels. Just look at a random HD pack and look at their tools. LOOK AT IT.

I'm somewhat interested in this, but I'd need to know how skinning the game works first. Wanna be able to see the changes in-game before sending anything.

Oh....also, have you planned any content control system? Because if you just plan to do this via PM's, I wil start to worry about your sanity.

I....I'm just confused. You go from talking about artists' block and then to "giving us your creative imagery", concluding that you're collecting ideas for a video game....?
Isn't what you're doing the exact same thing your contraption does, shooting ideas into the wild and catching them as they come back.

I...just...what? I don't understand what you are looking for. Throw me a bone here.

Ah, I think I remember seeing the stream for that.

I'm a bit bugged by his feet. The way they are positioned, it is almost as if he is leaning a bit backwards and using his tail as a third foot, sort of like a tripod. His right (our left) foot especially pronounces that problem.

Also, a minor nagging, but looking at his right (our left) hand, I don't see anything attaching his gauntlets. Looking at the WikiPedia page for spaulders, yuo'll notice that they have a small attachment strap, but these plates that make up the gauntlet just seem to be glued to his forearm.
