I was just gonna say, I had an idea where in your firefox browser you go to view > page style > No style but it doesn't matter now, It's been fixed!
so submit your votes while you still can!
Seriously you people panic so much over the smallest glitches
You can't even cast votes without styles being enabled, unless things have changed or my memory isn't serving me correctly. That seems to be most of peoples' concerns

Do you not think it would be easier to just block anyone from submitting anything while the problem is being fixed?
You're way more worried than you should be. There have been instances in the past where the portal had hundreds of submissions under judgment (e.g. Clock Day). The worst thing that happens is submissions that are still under judgment get bumped off the front page. That problem is quickly resolved as people cast in their votes.
Yeah, people can't vote right now, but this problem probably isn't going to last long enough for that to even happen. It's just not a good idea to shut down more of the site and inconvenience people even further for a problem that's probably a lot less than catastrophic.

You're a little off. Early 2003

I get the error message and can't vote on anything, and also can't look at most of peoples profiles or comment on them.
I wouldn't be particularly worried about this. It's just loading a new NG page within the ad frame instead of opening a new page like it's supposed to. Not the first time it's happened.

He has his own time zone, and it operates more or less in sync with NG's. I did IM him, though. The default client of AIM that I use, albeit bloated and stupid, does allow me to send offline IMs.

Already have a thread for this
I don't get it. What makes this scythe so awesome?
Any higher levels want to trade?
"newgrounds.com, which is used for sharing music files and user-created animations"
That's better than social networking site, right? I guess they're getting a little warmer!

That's some hardcore rig you got there! That's considering the mobile HD4870 is as good as the Desktop counterpart... I got the 3870 in my desktop PC.
I'm also in the market for a laptop. I was thinking of this one. I'd probably take its processor out and replace it with a mobile quad core though. It doesn't help that it keeps selling out.
It's not just a mobile HD4870, but a HD4870x2. From what I understand, it's basically two of those GPUs downclocked by around 33%. That's only what I read, I didn't check the specs myself. Still, that laptop probably hauls more ass than most peoples' desktops.

Phew, only a few hours left in the day, but NICE SAVE!
Thanks everyone! We can't let Techno take the spotlight with his birthday thread...
Dual Bachelor's in Digital Art and Computer Science.
I'll probably end up working in the video game field to some extent.

Because in some cases, the username has a broader scope than just a login on the computer (Hell, posting screenshots on a public forum... What a great example!). The computer's name on our network, however, contains my name.
Wow, what a PERFECT time to run across this thread!
Seriously. Every conceivable topic about signatures has already been ruthlessly pounded in to the ground.
If matters were serious enough (Like if your friend was stupid enough to make threats), then they could go through the police. Eventually a subpoena could be issued to the ISP to hand over records of who the IP address belongs to.
ISPs deal with this on a regular basis.
How could the "idea of the sniper firing under the cover of the sounds of the bombers passing overhead" even be original? It's just common sense.
Like coughing to cover up your farts, or taking a long, walking stride as an alternative to picking a wedgie.
What's wrong is that you already made a thread about this a couple of months ago, and it garnered a whopping six replies.
I purchased a license for AVG Professional and used it for a little while. When it expired, I didn't renew it Naturally, I got a virus the next day through a buffer overflow bug in the Adobe Acrobat Reader. I was able to fix the virus manually.
Since then, I've been using a combination of Webroot Spysweeper for anti spy/adware, and NOD 32 for antivirus. Nothing has gotten through.
I put a lot of research in to my choices. Spysweeper seemed to be the best, overall, at what it does. NOD 32 has by far the smallest system footprint, fastest scan times, and by far the best proactive protection (Stopping a potential problem before it's actually a problem). I've been very happy with them both.

It's a NES-style remix of the song Axel F from Beverly Hills Cop.
In this case, "admin" is short for "administrate"

I do notice a major difference. Why? I am not sure.
I'm not going to argue with you seeing a major difference (After all, that's all that matters in the end). It's just that I would be more worried about my RAM if readyboost was actually helping that much. 3GB of memory is usually more than sufficient for today's computer user/gamer.
It's just that in theory, it shouldn't be helping you nearly at all. In fact, it sometimes slows things down. Adding more memory wouldn't just be better, but the difference would likely be like night and day. Here's an image from a benchmark done to measure its performance.
I'd also try running some benchmarks if I were you so you can quantify the improvement some how.
Readyboost is primarily for older computers that don't have that much RAM to begin with (Like 512mb). When readyboost DOES help, it only does so marginally. In fact, the USB drive you're using is probably significantly slower than your hard drive in data transfer rates, where the data would otherwise be stored (See: page file). The only advantage would be the seek time provided by the USB drive, which is almost instantaneous.
I'm probably going out on a limb here, but I doubt it's helping you much at all. I think it's in your mind.

Let me exercise some similar logic:

It's been so long since I've bothered with the whole blam/protect thing. When I had 9,500 b/p points in early April 2003, I was ranked #28. Then I basically stopped doing it for 4 or 5 years. It's so nice to not have to think about getting the last rank anymore!
YES!

The ban didn't say your profile would be deleted. It said your ACCOUNT would be deleted. I'm not sure if that's quite what you want.
If it is, I'd just pm WadeFulp. There's probably a better chance of your request being read.

You're right. Mac computers are magical and are exempt from shittily-designed banner ads, and he should pay thousands of dollars for this imaginary benefit. Then he can purchase more memory to assist in a CPU-intensive task.
PM an admin about this problem. Hell, I'll bring it to their attention too since this has been problematic for me as well.
Locked because the topic title has nothing to do with its message body, and there's not much else to discuss.
