While there are certainly more efficient ways of doing this, I'm going to suggest a simple for loop.

First, in the first frame of your bullet movieclip add:

var isBullet:Boolean = true;

then in whatever function you use for hitting the powerup, do this:

var target:MovieClip = _root.mygame.path;
for(var i in target) {
if (target[i].isBullet) {
target[i].nextFrame();
}
}

or if that fails for some reason, just wrap it in Number()

on(release) {
display1.text = Number(input1.text) + Number(input2.text) ;
display2.text = Number(input1.text) - Number(input2.text) ;

if you want a GOOD mouse avoider engine, use hitTest vs buttons.... if you right click, buttons ignore mouse position so they are REAL easy to chat at.
