So it's 4:10 AM, I'm still up because im fixing my messed up sleeping pattern. I plug my COWON to the charger, but notice the screen doesnt flick on, saying it's "Charging". I check down below the desk to see if everything is plugged into the electricity right, and nothing seems out of order. the screen just wont turn on. So I'm thinking maybe the plug is broken or doesnt work, and the only plug im not using right now is the electric guitar amplifier's plug. I decide to pull it out, after thinking for a few seconds about how hard it is to do so. I try to pull it out with my bare hands, but to no avail. I try so hard, my hands hurt like theyre burning. So, as stupid as it might sound, I pick up the Victorinox pocket knife, and pull out the plyer. I press on the plyers handle, which turns the plyer into a sort of diagonal round shape, like a crowbar, and i shove it below the electric plug trying to ply it out. about a second after I feel the plyer touching the METAL part of the plug I remember that this is just what those guys do when they want to commit suicide, only just a bit different. I immediately pull the plyer out of the electric plug, and let go of it. Now, I have touched the metal part of the plug with the plyer, and my hand was touching the metal part of the plyer, and i was barefoot. I mean, how stupid can anyone get..? But if there's one weird thing about this whole deal, its the fact that I'm not dead.
I mean, I've unnoticingly done EXACTLY what you're supposed to do to commit suicide, shove the damned metal object while touching its metal end into some kind of electric plug.
So why am I not dead? I don't know. That's why I'm here.
I need a few answers:
1) do VictorInox cover their metal tools with some kind of non-conducting material?
2) Do electric guitar amplifiers use energy when they're offline, and if not, should something have happened if i touched the metal end of the electric plug?
3) If none of the above are correct, what the HELL saved my life?
And last, why the hell do they make amplifier plugs so damn hard to pull out -_-
I'd thank you very much if any of you guys can answer my questions, but whatever miracle or scientifically explainable phenomenon just saved my life, it made me appreciate life ALOT more.
