This is just a thread to make fun of that spammer guy.

60 people have divided their time to keep some idiot manchild from being a nuisance, batting him around like a cat playing with a mouse. The admins refuse to nuke him because they pity him.

Mouse declares himself the winner. Game over.

Response to: Transgender supermodels? Posted November 16th, 2013 in General

Any make-up aficionado or someone who knows what to look for typically will be able to figure out which person was born male and who was born female in a lineup of women who are chosen for traditionally female characteristics and transgendered MtFs. However, those obvious and subtle traits are often invisible on screen and in print. They can be further obscured with Photoshop and plastic surgery. Over time, plastic surgery has progressed to make it ever more difficult to distinguish between 'Genetic Girls' and 'Trans Girls'. That trend isn't likely to stop anytime soon, and it will eventually be possible for transsexual surgery and medical treatments to change sex completely, making these ethical debates unnecessary. But that's far off.

Victoria's Secret should not be forced to hire trans girls out of pity if they do not hire genetic girls who have comparable flaws which are being hidden with the same techniques. The practice would put genetic girls at a hiring disadvantage.

Was that a lazy attempt at sarcasm? You know every scenario can be broken down into an "ethical dilemma" if you are too eager to scrutinize it.

They should not need the consent of the prisoner. It should be a Doctor's decision to decide whether or not the prisoner's organs are healthy enough for donation or whether they should be given to medical schools and criminal forensic laboratories for study. This is not complicated.

Seems like a pretty good idea!

i grew up with an atheist family in my neighborhood. They were all absolute geniuses. Artists, musicians, a writer, a doctor, a very wealthy engineer, and a world-renowned published environmentalist. (Good looks, too, it's almost unfair how much good fortune they have) The entire mansion was essentially a six story library-museum! People like that are few and far between in the theist Churches I've been to. It would be nice to meet thousands of people like them.

No new gun control laws are needed, and liberal cocksuckers who want it need to get out of this country.

We need a way to keeps guns out of the hands of people who can't handle them, or better ways to defend against active shooters. Stricter gun control laws are the only proven effective way to lower the rate of gun related deaths.

I bet an RPG-7 with 2 rockets is cheaper than that armor. Plus an RPG can blow the wearer to pieces, and I'll use the 2nd rocket to turn him/her to sauce.

The point of the armor is to deploy it with Special Operations covert operator missions as a way to mitigate more probable gunfire. Targets don't normally have RPGs on hand to destroy humans, they save them for when they're fighting large groups and vehicles because they're more difficult to smuggle.

Also, I would think that rather than destroy this sort of armor, they would try to capture and neutralize the wearer, and use the armor for themselves.

At 10/11/13 04:54 PM, lolomfgisuck wrote: And you have the proof that it happened on it's own do you? Because last time I checked nobody knew what started the universe. There are a lot of educated guesses out there, but regardless of how intelligent those guesses sound, they're still just that... guesses. If you can't prove that the universe was created some other way then you have to keep all possibilities open. As ridiculous as it might seem to you, God is still a possibility. It might be very improbable, but that doesn't make it impossible. Like it or not, at this point in time, it's not wrong to believe that "God" created the universe.

If, and I do mean if, God is the creator of the universe, the proof of God would lie in his creation. Thus ruling the "invisible unicorn" argument moot. In other words, I just found invisible unicorn poop.

Maybe I'm wrong, but my evidence says it came from a unicorn. You say it came from another animal. We both have to prove our arguments true (burden of proof works both ways)... you have to prove to me that another animal made it and I have to prove to you that the unicorn made it. Can't prove to me another animal made it... then you have to keep the possibility open that maybe, just maybe, it is unicorn poop just as I have to keep the possibility open that maybe it's not.

Theists aren't arguing that an invisible God exists that has no effect on the world at all like your unicorn example wants us to believe... they argue that God is real and can be proven to be real indirectly. Invisible Unicorn argument = desperate bullshit argument.

Atheists have a lot of strong arguments on their side, they shouldn't have to result to this. You got the entirety of science on your side. Math and such. Invisible unicorn arguments are just you being a dick.

At least, that's how I see it.

The argument for a "God" has been falsified daily for thousands of years. It turns out the Sun doesn't actually fall into the ocean, hide behind a hill, or get carried off by a magical flaming chariot at night. It turns out the Moon and the Sun aren't the same size, nor are they balanced opposites. It turns out there were more stories written for the Bible which were not included in the final publication. It turns out all of the stories in the bible (and other religious texts) were written decades and centuries after the events they are purported to describe, that their stories are editorialized, exaggerated, loosely translated, and gratingly illogical.

Science has made short shrift of every proposed "God" hypothesis for the entirety of history, debunking all sorts of mystical hypothesis and then slowly whittling down the plausible explanations for physical phenomena until settling on the most likely candidates. Where Science has made tremendous progress over the past 3 centuries, Religion has done nothing but reorganize its arguments to accept new Scientific facts—or futilely attempt to block those discoveries from reaching the ears of society at large.

Religious leaders themselves know there is no "God". They rationalize perpetuating the lie as a way to keep civilization from collapsing, or to do good for humanity during their lifetime. It is because they believe that without religion there is no hope for our planet.

Whenever a "God" hypothesis is suggested, it's written in a way that is meant to trick the reader into agreeing with the writer. "God" must be hiding if we have no evidence for him. "Everything" must be the evidence for God. "God" leaves no evidence. Humans are too fallible to understand the divine work of "God". There is never a simple explanation, none of the explanations agree.

Realistically, there is no reason to pull someone out of a religion and force them to learn the truth. If someone isn't intelligent enough to rise above the lies of society and curious enough explore the reality of the world around her, it would be rude to destroy the fragile framework of cautious optimism that keeps her satisfied.

My understanding is that the DNA they do find is still incomplete, so you are better off using very common dinosaurs like Triceratops or Euoplocephalus, which are known by hundreds of specimens, rather than T-Rex or Parasaurolophus which are known by a dozen or so. As in the movie, Jurassic Park, scientists would probably have to fill in DNA gaps with close living relatives like crocodillians or birds.

There is barely enough DNA to clone Neanderthals and Mammoths without filling in the gaps with living relatives (George Church, Harvard). There is no way in hell you will get enough genetic material from a random cut of soft tissue that may have been preserved somehow.
