Disney also owns ESPN, Pixar, Marvel comics and entertainment, ABC studios, etc.
I could care less though how badly they screw up Lucas-films. After I saw the new Star Wars CGI movie (with that alien girl) I lost all hope that there would ever be another good star wars film......... I mean even the new trilogy created by Lucas sucked.
I'd rather just remember Star Wars for as it used to be.
Oh yeah, that random online article totally looks legit.
Honestly who the hell cares whether or not you have a Facebook? I mean there's nothing wrong with having a Facebook either, just depends on whether or not you want all your info open to the public.
It's better to just stay here on Newgrounds, where it's nice and safe.
I just won issues 2 and 3 of "Walking Dead" in an online auction (specifically from "My Comic Shop.com")! They seem to be in mint condition and I can't wait to read those bad boys.
Man, I've really been getting into that series ever since I found someone who uploaded all the comic books onto Youtube. I haven't watched the show as of yet, but I am told that it is pretty awesome as well. I'm probably gonna try and collect the whole series, except for issue 1# because it's insanely expensive (though it may devalue in a few years). Hopefully though Kirkman doesn't kill off Rick too soon, I heard rumors he was planning on killing him to make it more realistic.
Also: Anyone else into the "Walking Dead" or have any theories about what is going to go down as Rick fights the "Saviors"?
Yo, I heard you like Pigs. So I got some pigs and put 'em wit some other pigs, and then all hell broke loose.
Happy Birthday man

And then there were none.
I looked into it. All of her/his submissions came from websites that let you freely download the games and host them. So it wasn't really a surprise that every single one of the games she/he submitted were hosted on numerous different sites and listed many different potential authors. Definitely not original content, I removed them.
Only regret is that I'll never be able to beat "Mary's Elevator" now.
Pride is a personal commitment. It is an attitude which separates excellence from mediocrity.
So yea, I guess so

More specifically to this instance read and watch the subsection "- Religion and ruling elite tied together at the hip" as this will explain in detail my exact position on the dangers that Romney presents to your freedoms that you still have or rather the ones that Bush and Obama have not taken away yet by way of directly violating and stripping your constitutional rights.
The only thing I would add is that once again I fail to see any point or conclusive evidence to establish such an argument. Obama and Romney are both religious, both have presences in the media, and neither have yet to advocate for a Fascist system. These are facts.
The argument being made in this thread was that it is not the high-school teacher's place to be humiliating a student for expressing a different political viewpoint nor was it right for her to use hate to validate her opinion. Likening the KKK to the Republican Party is obviously an extremely offensive analogy and it should be relatively obvious that it is extremely inappropriate. If you believe contrary, then I am worried.

You've not made the case for such an argument nor have you provided any relevant details to support such a claim. Don't be glib.
The idea that somehow people whose viewpoints "are contrary to your own" are somehow not worth engaging and should be ridiculed is quite misguided. This teacher was not being paid to promote political ideology, her duty was to teach students a high-school curriculum. Whether the student was wearing an Obama or Romney shirt, the teacher had no right to make fun of the student or assert that the student was a fool for her political beliefs. Regrettably, there are people out there like this and one of them even tried to harm a family member of mine recently because of something so trivial as a political bumper-sticker (a non-offensive one, I might add). Unfortunately it seems this election is stirring up a lot of pent up emotions in some people and a situation like this doesn't surprise me.
Hopefully this teacher will be relieved of her duties.

Powerprower, Lizzardis, and ILBC should also be on the list. They were pretty chill.

^This pretty much covers it^
If you are actually 17 and she's 13 then that is kinda messed up. Plus when you're 18 she will only be 14, hell I can see why her dad would be concerned. The age and maturity gap is way too big..... I definitely would strongly advise against it, find someone your own age or at least closer to your age. If that's not the case though and both of you are 18 or over, then yeah do whatever you want.
I mean if I had a daughter, I definitely wouldn't let her date someone who is 18 when she's like just a kid
Sounds like a cool, yet kinda expensive idea. I've never been to a Newgrounds meet or Florida so I might be down, assuming I have the money to stop-by for a few days.
Just depends on what my class schedule is like for the Spring semester (if that is what you guys are aiming for) and whether it's during one of my breaks.

Apologies, typo.

I think it would be fair to say that both candidates need a little "fact-checking", but some of Obamas' statements were extremely outlandish. ObamaâEUTMs claim that Romney wants to cut taxes by $5 trillion was pure nonsense. Romney basically said to the affect that his tax plan will be "revenue neutral". Although Romney did not provide precise details on how he will anchor the tax rate-cuts, that does give Obama the right to fabricate the details for him. Obama's other claim that pulling out of the Iraq war has created some new cash reserve was just as ludicrous. We went into the wars in the Middle-East using borrowed money, it's not as if we can now use the money for different purposes (it was borrowed to begin with).
Whether you like Romney or not, he ultimately was able to come out with a win tonight because he was really on his game. This is evidenced through the polling done on CNN and other channels. Honestly, I feel that Obama did not have his head in the game in this debate and even many liberal commentators are suggesting something similar.

When, Where, Why? (please include a link next time).
Anyway, it isn't really "new" news that gay man can't give blood. Unfortunately gay men who do not have HIV haven't been able to give blood since the 80's, I believe. Also lesbians can give blood, so I guess its' kinda a double-standard thing. I don't really see why they just don't do screenings to determine whether or not someone is eligible to donate blood.
I myself can't donate blood due to the fact that I'm originally from England and was there during the time of the "mad cow" epidemic. Doesn't really make sense though cause I'd probably be dead from a prion infection by now, but maybe the U.S. doesn't want to invest in having to test more people for different stuff. I don't know.
Check out the Creative Resources page. It has Sprite tutorials, Flash tutorials, animation tutorials, you name it!
The Game Developers Page also lists a bunch of programs you can download for free or buy.
Good Luck

Good Find! I removed it. I actually remember seeing this flash submitted before in the past (pretty sure this a different one), but nevertheless this definitely stolen. It was taken from /f/dude.
The video says that she was spraying police officers in the face with silly-string and possibly pouring beer on them. I mean the use of force the cop exerted was obviously excessive, but she was out of line in messing with an on-duty policeman and it seems she was looking for some kind of reaction (probably not to this extent though). Police officers have to deal with a lot of shit and you never know if they're about to snap, due to stress or mental exhaustion.
Not saying her actions warranted the treatment she received, but it is pretty stupid to try and mess with a representative of the law.

Hell no for most of you. There are a few users that I wouldn't mind meeting, but a week is a long time to chill with someone..... Guess I'd either pick someone from the NGPD/EGB clubs, or if there were any cool chicks on NG that'd be alright too.
Depends on how big the island is, I'd rather it not be a sausage-fest.

Crab. Crab meat, crab tacos, crab sushi (only when it is the real stuff), pretty much anything with crab in it I'll eat. I can barely ever afford to have it though.

Today I had a dead bird near my back yard sliding glass door, which should mean there will be a death in the household or family soon.
Anyone have stuff happen to them like this or is it all just crazy mumbo jumbo?
Nah, superstitious signs are bullshit. Sometimes if you get really paranoid about something and let it psyche you out it can turn into a self-fulling prophecy, but otherwise I don't bother about that kinda stuff. Birds used to kamikaze into my old house at least once a week (mainly because we had an outside glass wall) and none of us died. So yeah, I wouldn't worry.

You play as a fox, and fight on an alien planet. The enemies are scorpions, and spiders, and other aliens. You can find new armor, and weapons. The game was only a demo, not sure if the full version is out yet. I think "Chapter Zero" was the subtitle. Thanks in advance
I brushed through the Front Page Archives and I didn't find anything similar to what you described, but here is the link in case you wanted to check it out for yourself.
Good luck

Here are some demos of the most common example games that are included when you download/use Stencyl: RPG Town and Dialogue; Brick Block; balloons; maze game; alien shooter; Run-and-Gun; racing kit; catapult kit; Alien Approach; pinball
There may be a few more, but as far as I can tell these tutorials are used most frequently.

Just wondering, but do you guys have a favorite comic book ad? Over the recent years and in the past there have been some ridiculously stupid comic book advertisements that seem awesome when you're a kid but in reality are complete crap. My favorite is this one which was in a few old comics I read. The sheer idea that you could receive a tank that fires out real missiles is almost enough to cause any kid to have a heart attack, but unfortunately if you actually paid for this all you received is a shit-load of cardboard.
Have you guys ever tried any comic book ads or have one you liked?

I was walking and I passed a garage sale, I recognized a stack of old comics and looked through, it was mostly 90'2 X-men comics, but at the bottom of the pile I recognized the cover artwork the last arkham, and I also recognized Alan Grants name on Batman #457
I have read the two of these before as PDFs, but it's nice to actually own them.
I got both for two bucks, you can't beat that.
Sounds like a good deal. Garage sales are usually a great place to find comic books. I never really had too much luck, but you never know!
At 9/15/12 10:53 AM, SG3 wrote: Is it terrible that the only Batman I've read is The Dark Knight Returns?
Kinda. I haven't really read the new batman comics and I have no desire to, mainly because I heard they killed off Wayne and they keep changing the Batman universe, I prefer the oldies. You could always try buying some old VG copies from the silver age to see if you like any of the classic stories.
I guess I just never found him a relatable hero. The Nolan movies are well done, but I never managed to emotionally resonate with the character. And as far as rule-of-cool goes, I didn't really find him that much of a bad-ass. Maybe it's because so many characters just copy the Batman personality, then add some extra shtick.
I actually don't like Batman because I think he's a badass. The Nolan movies really tried to convey him that way, and they did a great job, but the main reason I like Batman is because he was the world's greatest detective. I really enjoyed the mystery solving aspect of the comics and I also loved "Batman: The animated series". The animated series really did a fantastic job of redefining the Batman character and making it more realistic. I agree though, lots of newer characters kinda play off the Batman personality (most notably Rorschach from "Watchmen") and it gets old.
If I was to pick a comic book hero/villain who I thought was a badass, I would say Deadpool or Venom. >:D
