Most teenagers in general overlook intelligence and focus more of physical appearance. If you see a girl who isn't attractive walking down the halls of your school and think to yourself, "I bet she's really smart, so I think I might date them." Probably no. Even in adulthood, its going to be the same. You have to have a physical attraction to somebody in the beginning of the relationship to be happy and then you start to be less caring about how they look and rather who they are as a person, at least in my opinion.

Not to mention, while its sad, the infamous "league" is true. Meaning, most of the time, if a girl is out of your league, you're wasting your time. Not always, but 90% of the time that's just how it is. In my experience girls like a guy who looks good, dresses nicely, is charming, and just conducts himself well.

So keep that in mind. =)

I don't think Newgrounds allows you to have animated .gifs as a user image. You may just have to take a frame of it and just use that instead.

They didn't go unread. Tom makes sure to read all of the PMs that come into his inbox, but he doesn't always respond to all of them due to the amount he gets on top of all the other work he has to do. Not that he's trying to ignore you, but just because he doesn't have time to change your name as he has other staff members to do that for him.

I'd say your best bet is to PM Wade to ask for a name change. He's changed mine a few times, but you'll have to be patient in wait for his response because he also gets hundreds if not thousands of PMs a day.

Well, ActionScript is a programming language and isn't easy to master. If you're lookig to start learning it though, there are several tutorials and books out there that give great examples. It also doesn't hurt to understand Flash as a whole as well.

Now I know you've said you've tried ActionScript lesson sights and that none of your codes work. Are you sure you're using the right ActionScript version? Meaning, you're not using AS1 in a document set to use AS2 or AS3, or other combination. If so, that's probably why your code isn't working.

Each one of my dogs were killed by being hit by a car, they were each less than three years old. We put both of our cats down about two years apart from each other. One lived to be sixteen and the other eighteen, it was older than I am. The dog I have now is about ten or eleven, and I'm really dreading the day we have to put him in our backyard as well.

Speaking of that, I am thinking of ideas on ways to assist the Barracks in terms of communication and resources. I've already had some great ideas, like running a Ventrilo server or an IRC chat... Check the EGB forums for the thread about it and post your suggestions as well!

Either one of those would be a great addition to the EGB. I remember we discussed this idea before way back when but the idea never seemed to materialize. Also, have you put any thought to maybe starting up the EGB Podcasts again? I can't find the old one you did a few years ago, but I think it would also make a nice addition to the EGB.

Haha, funny you should mention that. I'm currently writing an EGB fanfic myself. So far I'm on the prologue, but I'd say I'm about 50% done with the first draft. After that, I'll revise it and post it up. Expect it in the next few days.

Also, I've noticed that from the movies that I have watched today, 90% of them are legitimate submissions where authors truly worked hard to create something good to offer to the portal. There are always few bad apples in a bunch, but I'm impressed with Madness Day this year.

I agree, I think that these spammers are taking things WAY TOO FAR. You'd think that they'd take the admins' generosity to not ban them more nobly. As for the legality of hacking, I don't think there's a specific law to ban it, but the accused hackers may breach their ISP's terms of service contract. If thats the case, then I believe all Wade would have to do is report their activities to their ISP, in which case the ISP could refuse to continue their services to the offenders.

I posted the story a few posts up in this thread. The only thing that bugs me is how much trouble Jordan is going to get in. Suspended or expelled, one or the other. My school is very strict when it comes to fighting. Most people get expelled their first offense.

I agree somewhat. For example, if a girl hits me more than three times I may use physical confrontation to restrain her or if need be hit her to get her to back off. However, since men are typically stronger than women, I feel like we should hold more restraint when hitting a girl than compared to two guys getting in a fight. That's just my opinion though.

I wasn't there at the party, but I heard all about it. Basically what happened was Rachel got really drunk/high at a party, gave some guy a blowjob, and then spit cum in another guy's face for some reason. When she passed out, he took a shit on her face. It was supposedly on YouTube, but I could never find it, so i think it got removed.

So today during lunch, a fight broke out between a guy we'll call "Jordan" and a girl we'll call "Rachel." I'll even give you a little bit of a description for each of them.

Jordan: The guy can be a douche sometimes, but him and I have always gotten along. He's a few inches taller than me, so about 6'5", he does kickboxing and MMA. He's a pretty cool guy if you're on his good side.

Rachel: I don't know her very well, but this pretty sums up what I've heard and get a vibe of from her: pothead, slutty, not horribly fat but not nearly skinny, acts like a gangster, and loves to fight. She's also been commonly known as "poop cheek" at our school for an incident when she got her face shit on at a party, but thats a story for another day.

Anyway, I was eating lunch and talking my friends at the lunch table, when all of a sudden everything gets quiet and you hear yelling. I couldn't make out exactly what was being said, but it had to due with one of Rachel's pregnant friends who I guess Jordan was making fun of. The yelling subsides and I see Rachel get up from her table, take her cup of cheese, and try to pour it on Jordan. She got a little in his hair, but missed mostly somehow. She throws the cup on the ground and walks away to sit back down at her table.

Jordan stands up, takes his cup of cheese, and throws it at the girl and making a mess. She had cheese all over her and so did some of the people at her table. They yell more, she's really pissed, and charges at Jordan. Jordan sidesteps her and gets her in a head lock and is trying to get her to calm down. She keeps trying to punch and kick him, so he finally gets fed up and flings her on the ground. She did a complete 360 over his shoulder, hit her head on one of the chairs and breaks it.

By this time the teachers are on their way to break it up. Jordan gets up and starts walking towards the office before the teachers get to the circle, knowing he'd have to go there anyway. She gets up and sucker punches him in the back of head while a teacher is trying to restrain her. He just keeps on walking, the teachers finally have her restrained and take her to the office.

The 300-500 or so students applaud the teachers, and everyone starts talking about it. In my opinion, I think she had it coming. I've never been a big fan of her, and in Jordan's defense he never really hit her as he tried to resolve the physical conflict by restraining her, and I don't think its right to hit a girl. Although, it seems he may have started the whole ordeal by making fun of Rachel's friend, but there may be more to the story.
