Sounds like most of you guys are too young to be on the internet anyway. 13 year olds don't need a facebook, cell phone, or anything like that. At your age you should be going outside, or out with friends to the movies.

It disgusts me how lazy and spoiled this new generation is. Kids now don't know what life is like without a computer. I doubt any of you guys have ever picked up an encyclopedia to do research for school or read a newspaper.

The internet is a great tool for many things, but kids now days RELY on it for EVERYTHING. I would love to take today's children and remove all electronics from them. I doubt they'd survive.

Say it's symbolic for a penis because you're coming out. They'll be more alarmed that you're gay than if you're smoking.

I can see where you'd say that for possession of something, such as: I have 0 cards vs I have no cards/I don't have any cards.

But as far as degrees and counting it's definitely necessary. If you every scratch the surface of computers and how they work, you'll find 0 is one of the most necessary numbers of all.

There is no "onClick" method for PHP. You should use the Javascript onClick to trigger an Ajax request to a separate page on which the PHP method is executed and returned.

Topic: Longer school days a possibility

Posted: 09/28/09 03:26 PM

The american school system is a complete joke as it is. It is incredibly inefficient for how long we're there already! I learn more in a 50 minute class at the university than I did all day in highschool. You know what the difference is? I'm not being taught by complete retards here.

In most cases kids in lower level education have a completely unqualified teacher just because they're "good with kids". Not only that, but kids aren't separated enough. I know it's bad to single kids out, but there's absolutely no reason why a kid with an A and a D in Algebra should be in the same class.

In the United States no one is treated as an individual. Everything here is systematic, exactly the same for everyone. There can be no separation because of anything now because all the idiot liberals have fought so hard for "equality".

Anything the government has control of in America sucks. The DMV, schools, taxes, etc.

Exactly. There's a big difference. I know this girl that won't get near a spider at all, she's afraid of them. I don't like them, but I'm certainly not afraid of them. I like to catch them in little jars and get them high first, only to be a complete buzz kill by smashing them with a shoe 10 minutes later.

I agree. I think everyone should take a year off after highschool to work like I did. It will make you appreciate what an easily life students have and make you think before you bitch at your parents for not getting you everything you want.

And by work I mean a real job, not waiting tables and bitching about your lack of tips
