That's why these threads focusing on the financials of this site are "bad". It takes away from the chivalry of the fan-base.

You have to understand that websites are VERY hard to value.

FB is valued at around $30 billion dollars because of it's vastness.

Tom's intangible assets (brand,website etc) may be VALUED at $15m but his revenues and expenses will be lower - $2-3 million I would guess at.

Internet business-men can make it all one week and then lose it all the next.

Myspace was valued at $8billion at one stage, look at it now...
