Dude, no don't give bs advice with that picture.
That's not even proportionate, im not saying you're a bad artist.
It's just wrong.

VALUE IS KEY!

Response to: A bit of face drawing advice. Posted March 10th, 2009 in Art

Don't draw the face.
If you attempt to draw the face you will fail, you need to shade the value of the mass which is the face.
Shade out the values in the face and blend them together, the face has no defined lines but various shade.

The only issue I've got with them is that they seem blurry... think you can make the lines a little sharper? Or up the contrast just a tad?

Yea, I tend to do that.
Ill try to make everything sharper in the future.
Thanks.

However the left(our right) arm on the first one is small compared to his other arm, and i do realise his head is supposed to be bigger in proportion to his body.
Also the face on the woman in the second drawing is abit off hard to put my finger on it but it just looks odd.
Keep going your talented. (:

Hey thanks for the comments, and yea the second drawing is a bit off, the right side of her body is wonky.

I was drawing by candle light without a good reference mind you lol :P
