I click run it says "Not built yet" and when I click Yes, Build, nothing happens.

Do you have the GNU GCC Compiler? I had to download it separately for Code::Blocks.

So I've been playing around with C++ for a few days now, but I still don't get what std:: is. I know it has something to do with namespaces but is it short for anything (like int is integer)?

Ahh crap. I was going to buy it yesterday, but my bank took out $35 becasue my account's been dry for ages. How much stuff can you create, is it limited? If I wanted to make an elephant out of rubber and strap a jetpack to it's back, can I do it?

I am about to buy Adobe Flash CS4 Professional for my future projects. However, I am unsure whether I also need any other software with this, i'm a base starter game and animation programmer so not entirely sure what I actually need software wise.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey man, if you're looking for something cheaper try Flash MX 2004 -- if Adobe stocks it or not I'm not sure (Mx and Flash 8 were owned my Macromedia, CS3-4 Adobe). A lot of people like Flash 8, but again, I've got no idea whether or not Adobe supplies it.

You don't need any other software to use Flash, unless you want to add personalized things to it; like plugins (extra colour palette, movieclip tools etc). If you're a student you can get a student discount.

Just get visual studio and let it worry about the compilation.

Yeah I'm on Windows, but I don't want to pay for a package. I've found a IDE called DEV C++, is that a decent program (instead of manually using cmd)?

Topic: Can't find g++ :(

I picked up my first book on C++ the other day, but I'm already having troubles. Basically I've already made a simple source code in C++ (returns the value of 0), and saved it as NAME.cpp. My not-so handy book says to compile it, I need to type 'g++ NAME.cpp'; but a message comes up in command prompt saying g++ is not recognizable, ie I don't have it.

So, after surfing for it on the net, I still can't find it. Is it an actual IDE or does it run inside command prompt?

It has to be the best level in the game, on veteran mode that is. Has anyone bet it? I tried it one night for 2 hours straight, not completing it once. Then I tried a different tactic, and it works every time! I'll give you my run-though (you've gotta be fast!):

1. Sprint immediately to toilet
2. Quickly switch to pistol
3. Knife man in toilet
4. Head into the cabin, keep walking straight
5. Toast the guy with the shotgun, then throw a flash-bang.
6. Pistol whip those fools.
7. Head up the small isle to your left, pick up P90, replace pistol
8. Two guys behind the double-entry, on left and right
9. Stick to you left, throw a flash bang, shoot people with P90 (then the cabin explodes)
10. Switch to MP5 and pity those fools coming down the staircase. Reload P90.
11. Head to the right-hand stairs, throw a flash at the roof and blind yourself.
12. Spray P90
13. Collect the 3 new flashbangs. Spam 2 through the text cabin.
14. Shoot, while walking forward
15. 1 more flash around the left corner, knife the guys
16. Keep running up to the FINAL terrorist, holding the hostage, and knife him in the kidney.
17. Tea bag him
18. Jump out of plane
19. ???
20. Profit
