Just to let everyone know; i've been making songs for ng for almost 6 years now,
and i never won any 'artist of the year' nominee. Even though, i've always been one of the popular
artists all those years. Tom fulp's IRAQ ATTACK (2003) was one of the the first flashmovies that featured my first audio-submission.
And that was a huge step for me, to the top of the audioportal. (sorry for the being ghey rite now,
i just want to make clear that i've been one of the popular artists since my first submission,
and that i ... well um, never won any 'artist of the year' nominee *coughcough*hinthintloljk) ;__;

Anyways...... there are 3 artists i'd like nominate:

NemesisTheory
Danman87

Yeah karbon is awesome and has always been one of my favorites here on ng.
His production quality has grown so fast. And i think his songs sound a lot more professional
than my songs. To be honest, i think most of my songs don't really sound that professional at all.
There are many artists here who beat me when it's about pro-quality, however it will always be
pretty hard to say who's officially "the best". just a matter of taste imo.

(In the name of the more-popular audio users:)
I'm sure that a very big part of the visitors that find audiopages through flashmovies or other websites, will be spread to other sections/songs of the audioportal.
If not, they still get to know what the audioportal is and that it even exists.
You guys should be thankful to the artists that track so many visitors to the audioportal.
Not hate them because 'they get all the attention' or whatever =/

Yess, Famitracker is indeed the best program for 8-bit songs.
You can also rip/record the stuff from an .nsf file and make .wav's

I use Reason for years now and i must say that I love it mostly because of
the endless possibilities. Flip the rack, and mess up with the cables n stuff =]
a con; it doesn't support VST. However, You can still create awesome synths
with the new Thor synth, or by combining a few synths/fx/samples together using the
combinator. If that doesn't do the trick, i can always create and then record synths from a vst.
