It's been a while since I checked in on your thread and it's good to see that you have still kept your signature style. I've always been envious of artists with the ability to create portraits, especially those with an abstract feel to give it a sense of individuality such as this.
Thank you very much! Wonderful, inspirational comment. :)

Modern Virgo
This piece is centered around the change of women's role in today society. Modern Virgo sits on her couch in (men's) suit using the phone. In the background you can see a classic depiction of Virgo hanging on the wall.
I tried to explore the modern woman's responsibilities in contrast with the quite idyllic, naive female ideal.
My mother was the reference for the Modern Virgo's body, who I consider a real woman.

Oooooh I know what you mean now. That's one of my favorites as well. I like to draw weird creatures where every body part adds to the creepiness.
With the blue man thingy, it was only normal paper as I did not have money for a watercolour one back then.
Thank you. :)

My fantasy stuff was really weird indeed, but instead I will concentrate more on social issues and allegories in the future.
Thank you for your positive comments, ^_^

i dont mind the lines at all...infact most of the time i draw and have any inspiration it comes only on lined paper -_- Dont bother checking for my art (not put any yet hopfully in the near future though).....just keep ur stuff man and if lined paper suits u....go for it!!
Thank you very much; glad you liked it. :) I don't think I will get back to lined paper soon, unless it would enhance the actual piece's design. Actually I try to make my drawings more artistic with
watercolour paper (it has a wonderful texture).
