Reason is always the midi slave program - as is it can only run as a VST type instrument in rewire mode, and not as the sequencer, unless you're rewiring it to Rebirth which is the sole case where it's the other way round.

The correct way to do it is always open the sequencing program first, but that's whats causing the error.

It dosn't seem to be something you're doing wrong, maybe a sound setup error?

Yeah I misread his post the first time, and tried to save my pride by offering another explanation, however lacking as it was haha.

I don't have much experience with ReWire. I tried to route it to cubase onetime and ended up getting frustrated.

If you're reese is a standalone Malstrom, then yes of course it will be weak. It should be illegal to call something a reese without running it through a Scream4. I like to use Tube in Scream4, and turn the P1 and P2 knobs so that the face eachother. Also, if you have Reason 3.0, be sure to throw on some MClass suites, especially the Equalizer and Maximizer.
