That box looks a little wonky...
I'm bored, so I sketched a nifty example. Course it's pretty elementary. I wouldn't be surprised if you already knew this stuff.

Perspective Help?

Response to: The Disney Collab Posted July 26th, 2009 in Game Development

Ok, no problem. I felt like I was overdoing it anyhow.

Response to: The Disney Collab Posted July 26th, 2009 in Game Development

So I'm making a part, but it may be a bit long and large-ish in size. I don't know if I will go through with it in the end, but I'm looking at 2 minutes at least. Is this any cause for concern?

Response to: The Zelda Collab Posted March 7th, 2009 in Game Development

my author's page message: "My part has huge metal balls. On a chain."
age: 18
my sprite can be anything that's lying around.

also, if there's a sequel, i'd like a part or two. just pm me or something.

Response to: Anime Club Posted August 9th, 2008 in Clubs & Crews

Watchmen's a masterpiece, and I can only hope they didn't botch the movie (though from the looks of the trailer, they didn't).

But Watchmen ain't animoo foo!

Response to: The Ninja Collab Posted August 9th, 2008 in Game Development

Sweet, thanks for the co author! This collab's gonna add a 4 to my BA.

Response to: criticise my flash and artwork Posted August 5th, 2008 in Game Development

How bout you frame-by-frame animate the character in your drawing? :P
I like your soldier. Very Warhammer 40,000. As for the walk cycle... it's already been discussed.

Response to: The best Animator in history Posted August 5th, 2008 in Game Development

Hayao Miazaki, Chuck Jones and Hideki Anno are damn good.

Miazaki = Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle
Chuck Jones = Warners Bros cartoons
Hideki Anno = Evangelion (New movies coming out now with exceptional quality)

These people inspire me.

As for animators on Newgrounds, Nacho Tururu and Adam Philips, but I'm sure there are other great animators out there that aren't as popular.

Response to: the Flash Showcase thread Posted August 4th, 2008 in Game Development

I can't fire ma lazer! Actually, that game could be really good with some polish and stuff. Anyway, I'm too lazy to write about what I'm working on all over again, so just look at my user page. :P

Response to: One Song Through Multiple Scenes Posted August 3rd, 2008 in Game Development

Ugh, this could really complicate things... 4000 frames on one scene doesn't sound too good. But if I don't have a choice, I'm just gonna have to deal with it.

Response to: One Song Through Multiple Scenes Posted August 3rd, 2008 in Game Development

The song's about 2 minutes long and it's only gonna play once.

So I have a problem. Say you want one song playing throughout a movie, but you want to divide the movie up into multiple scenes. I also want to keep the music synced with the movie, so forget setting the song to event. Any solutions?

Response to: The Ninja Collab Posted August 2nd, 2008 in Game Development

I think Honto's parts are better, but thanks. Good luck putting it together. Can't wait to see it in the portal!

Response to: The Zelda Collab Posted August 2nd, 2008 in Game Development

Hey now, don't die. I worked hard on my part.

Response to: Peice By Peice Fbf Flash? Posted August 2nd, 2008 in Game Development

I like to Frame-By-Frame as much as I can, without the use of any tricks. Generally if you want to animate in an anime style, forget piece-by-piece. You're gonna have to go all out and draw each and every frame separately.

Course, as it was already pointed out, you don't need to worry too much about lip-syncing, hehe.

Response to: The Ninja Collab Posted August 2nd, 2008 in Game Development

woohoo! I'm finally done. The .fla will be PM'd.

.swf

Response to: The Ninja Collab Posted July 27th, 2008 in Game Development

I'll finish my part soon. I've been busy.. haha.

Response to: The Ninja Collab Posted July 21st, 2008 in Game Development

Hey, that's good! I have an idea now that's not exactly what you suggested, but close. Thanks for the jumpstart!

Response to: Frame by frame .fla ? Posted July 21st, 2008 in Game Development

It's a lot more complicated than just a series of drawings. You gotta know how to posture things first before you can get the movement to look good. I suggest right-clicking on .swf files and then clicking the back and forward options on the menu repeatedly. Then you can see each frame in succession. That's how I do it, anyway.

Response to: The Ninja Collab Posted July 20th, 2008 in Game Development

Off topic: That's one sexy tablet.

On topic: So my ninja is jumping on roofs, but I kinda don't know how I should end it. Basically, it doesn't have a punchline or joke to it yet. Any ideas? Or do I actually have to get creative? heh heh

Response to: The Ninja Collab Posted July 15th, 2008 in Game Development

Dunno if I'm in or not, but here is a little sample of my work so far.

Response to: The Zelda Collab Posted July 14th, 2008 in Game Development

K I'm officially DONE :D

The movie is here

And I PM'd the .fla.

Response to: animation questions Posted July 14th, 2008 in Game Development

Um, Adobe is a pretty major corporation, and I don't think they'd overlook something as simple as that. Plus, any decent animating program will cost money. Guess it all depends on how much you're willing to spend or how serious you are about animating.

Response to: The Ninja Collab Posted July 7th, 2008 in Game Development

Honestly. I can say for certain that the AVERAGE 13 year old does NOT think, act, nor see things the same way an 18 year old does. There's a time in every person's life called PUBERTY which is the process by which the individual MATURES both physically AND mentally. This generally ends at around age 21, and begins at age 12.

I'm not trying to be a snob, I'm not trying "glorify the elders," and I'm definitely NOT trying to discourage any of the younger members on Newgrounds. I absolutely agree that neither skill level nor potential correspond to age in any way, shape, or form.

BUT. I can't accept that age is "jack-shit" as certain persons call it, because it most is definitely not.
Experience as well as a more developed mind GENERALLY belong to older people, and it is as wrong to disregard age as it is to discourage younger up-and-coming animators.

And with that, I would like to know if this collab is still open to takers.
