This video is intended to be my best of the year (it's certainly the one I've clocked the most effort into). I present to you these Smash 1v1 combo highlights of my Melee recordings, produced as my entry for the announced official smashboards.com combo video competition contes. My goal is to provide a great video chalk-full of entertaining, inspiring, delightful, and/or intriguing clips for the enjoyment of you and your friends. Exclusively features Newgrounds audio portal music (6 songs in total):

Video clips herein were all recorded by me in Florida (as well as California for GENESIS). Excepting tournament matches I've posted, none of these clips have been seen elsewhere until now (especially not in any montage / compilation videos). I have culled these clips together from the 129.2 hours of footage I've recorded in 194 video files across 51 days sprinkled between 4/17/09 and 10/18/09, originally totaling 106 gigabytes in raw uncompressed form. Arguably one of the hardest parts of this video was getting it to only 10 minutes.

My video got featured on the company's website, facebook, and twitter. To anyone who doesn't think it's worth the money, don't buy one. Besides they're sold out anyway, so you couldn't regardless. I am very satisfied and happy with it, it's a pleasing decoration at my office.

Smash is the greatest video game franchise to me, followed closely by Blizzard RTS games. I like your post and I agree, SSB on the DS would be righteous, but I hope it has more replay value like Melee instead of Brawl which was only fun for me for a month..

Yeah I actually checked out the art portal for the 2nd time yesterday, and of course went to top scoring by M, and was also disappointed by only 3 pages and change. Get to work, guys!

And all I was doing was wearing a Newgrounds t-shirt. I was at the largest Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament ever (GENESIS in California 2 weeks ago), and this guy comes up from some other country who says he started the Double Dragon flash collections, and was all stoked because he assumed I was Tom Fulp wearing a Newgrounds t-shirt. I shouldn't have disappointed him, but I really don't look much like Tom, but I did give him props for his flashes. It's always fun when people recognize the shirt though.

No, I didn't scrable the cube and play it in reverse. You can mostly tell this because I would've been doing the method solve in exact reverse, which would take more skill than a straightforward solve (notice the 3 parity solves I also do, which would be more skillful to do in reverse).

And wow @ solving a 3x3x3 in an hour from getting it at a garage sale. Nice!

DSW is insane. And the only title I had was best Samus in Florida, and generally perceived as top 5 Samus nationwide, though I never was able to travel out of Florida for a tournament. I just tried to play Samus with style and to have fun, and I think I accomplished that (check out Phanna Mint 3 if you haven't seen it yet).

HugS doesn't play Brawl, I forget who Wes was playing. But they definitely both redefined the ability of Samus to be played in tournaments - Wes with uptilts and HugS with up-B usage, if I had to boil down each to one move. I enjoyed meeting both, and while I don't know either, Wes seems more funny / easygoing and HugS more confident / tight-lipped.
