Ive recently downloaded GIMP onto my computer.
I want to make cool stuff, you know like sigs, pics, banners, and Icons.
But, I try to use gimp but i dont know how. It tells me these tips but its way to counfusing. So can someone help explain the buttons and how to do things?

Every time i try to post a reply in a topic the Post a reply button and the post a quote button are gray? I try to click on them and it just highlights them. the same thing is for the little orange back buttons at the top of the screen in the bbs. am i banned or something? I didnt get a message. And the freate new topic button is the only thing i can use to post. because its the only posting button thats not gray.

What do i do?

My computer has had some viruses for a while. But Nothings been done about it yet. I live with my grandparents, and they take care of most things around the house. So Im not allowed to do any decision making on the computer. So I have these viruses. When i boot up my computer, A bunch of popups come up, one by one. They are the same ones every time, and they comec up in the same order everytime. They are mostley things like, XPA Antivirus 2008, Mcaffee secuirity center, Adware remover 2007, Myspace AIM, AIM, And window security alerts. At one time we had all of these things installled, But it says I have to purchase the licsense to do abything with them. Im wanting to be able to use the scan thing wear it finds all the viruses and delete them, and stuff like that, but I dont know what to do. So ive gotten tired of me having to wait an hour before I get all the popups gone and the Internet up, and Ive decided to do something about it. So can someone tell me what I should do to get all this Shit off my PC and have it running faster? Please. Tell me some steps on What to do.
