I'm not on any meds but who knows how long that will last? I've had depression before and it comes back worse and worse, and I've been self-diagnosed OCD since I started puberty (two weeks ago hurr hurr hurr). My attention is terrible. I get anxiety so I feel like something horrible is about to or is happening.
For the past few years I've just been smoking weed to treat, like, all of that. There's a chance that isn't a good thing.
I told my dad about my depression yesterday. I'm going to try to get help soon.

I think life is hopeless. Like, self-replicating carbon matter. It's all taking what you can get to benefit yourself.
Humanity is different. It's like that, but we can do altruism. We either invented or realized evil and good, and if you think that not giving a fuck about anyone but yourself is evil, then we are the only possibly good species.
We also are doing a horrible job. We drain technologically-weaker cultures dry, and murder and bury them. To harness our food we use mass industry, which has to be forced to respect the animals it sacrifices. People have a lot of internal problems that they're forced to hide in order to get work. Nobody thinks that peoples' problems matter anymore. And doing good is really really really really really really hard.
And yet there's hope.
I was a Halo noob when I started playing Halo 4; I had only played 1 and 2 casually at my friend's house years and years ago. I found Halo 4 accessible because the feel was more like Call of Duty.

An interesting component of the article I linked above is that many people cite spirituality as a major component that is key to a longer life. As someone who largely lives life as a staunch believer in people, culture, society, and progress, but otherwise absent any relationship with "god" (I self-identify as an atheist), it's hard to understand the necessity of a spiritual outlook on life.

Yes but not faith in fairytales or mystical energies, creators or intelligent extraterrestrial deities. I've not been able to believe in that stuff in a long time. But to believe and have faith in yourself, others, and the possibility for positive change is a good thing to do, which isn't always easy,
It makes sense on a certain level. But I wonder if the God part is necessary. Is secular faith possible and if so, enough?
If life were inherently special, then it wouldn't be special. Only if it's meaningless at its core can a true appreciation for this cosmic coincidence begin.
I don't see the point in trying to put people off God or aliens or whatever. It's my personal choice not to accept easy answers to important questions, and it's been totally worth it.
I wish you could edit blog posts without leaving an "edited" stamp on them, like you can on the forums, probably because I have OCD. When something says its edited online I think it's dirty and inferior.
Why not make it the writer's choice to say if they changed it or not?

Dude furries don't fuck animals. If you're referring to yiffing, where they have sex with people wearing costumes, then they're still having sex with people, and most of them don't do that. Role-playing isn't necessary either, and I doubt that over fifty percent of them do that, too (may be wrong).
To fuck with people who have autism is really sad. I find it hard to believe that the majority of furries would "blame everything on autism." I think that you're just taking the negative experiences you've had with a handful of people and projecting them onto an entire demographic -- the basic definition of bigotry.
A lot of people who consider themselves furries "only like anthropomorphic animal art," too, so by some standards, you are a furry, in fact. You don't need to identify as one, but you should be aware of that.

1. He wasn't fleeing, unless he was running backwards, because the shots hit the front of Brown and Brown fell forward after being shot.
Simply not true. Page 226 of the testimony script describes a chase before the kid supposedly decided to go balls out and Wilson. Ergo, he was fleeing, literally, and what I said is completely literally correct.
2. The shot location shows that wilson stopped shooting brown once he had fallen over, so the implication that brown was shot after going down is complete bogus.

Also @Sheizenhammer, Newgrounds isn't only a Flash website. It started out that way, but now there's music, and art, and a huge community. It's more like a place where artists and people who appreciate art go to talk about any old thing.

You need to take care of yourself to survive. I think it's selfish when people can't give up soda and cheeseburgers when it would take an immense strain off of their loved ones. It goes to show that you aren't really living for yourself in this world.

My brother is an alcoholic, and addicted to cigarettes. Sure, I take issue with the glamorization of alcohol, and the sheer legality of cigarettes (shitty little carcinogenic cancer-causing brain and respiratory tract-ruining social conventions which are a poor excuse of tobacco to begin with), but, so what? Life is challenging -- doing the right thing is a challenge. We can't possibly remove all of the nive from the world, and if we did there would be no rightness in doing right. Plus I love to drink occasionally, just like one can occasionally eat fast food.
My diet is shit. Most of our diets are shit...so whats the risk we take?
My diet used to be shit, but now it's pretty good. I learned a lot about health from my friends in college. A few months ago my dad had a brush with diabeetus, and since then my fridge at home has only been stocked with healthy stuff, like white meat and fresh produce.
You know the funny thing is that healthy food is super delicious.

My friend -- one of my dearest friends in the world -- her father is a diabetic who refused to take care of himself. He started to try, after his first stroke. Recently he caught food poisoning and almost died because he couldn't control his diet. I didn't ever even think about that possibility. Man, diabetics have it tough. But it's a similar situation -- for years and years, this man chose to be hedonistic, even though it put his family through hell. Now he's in the most pain he's ever been in.
So my heart goes out to you. I hate when people say, especially on the news (look, my heart goes out to these people, but we still need to bomb/deport/torture them etc.) but it's an expression and I mean what it's supposed to express. If you want advice on living healthier, or talking to your family, you can honestly PM me.
That's another thing. Tell your family how you feel. Tell your brother how you feel. Don't expect it to work (lol), but you shouldn't remain silent about things that hurt you. Bringing an idea into dialogue can often help.
And maybe see a therapist. You're watching your loved ones self-destruct, and you shouldn't be alone. Try a school counsellor if you can find a good one, or a priest if you're into that kind of thing.

I write "how is everyone" in the search bar, select "Forums," and hit Search.
"Your search did not return any results." Also it says "0 Forum Topics with "everyone"," so it didn't even search all my terms.
If this weren't so, we'd see a lot less repetitive question threads and threads with topics that have already been covered. Or is it just my computer?
