alos the same guy with the clear foots right pant leg is cut really poorly

not a google image. i took this myself. i ended up taking the pictures of me somewhere else, so i had to cut each one of them out. the pant leg: that's actually how it laid on the bottom. i never really noticed how much it protrudes from the leg... but i can guarantee that's how it looks.

drawing things like this, i normally set a layer for each subject in the picture. most importantly a layer for the outline to go on top of all the other layers: skin, eyes, shirt, coat, hair, shoes, etc. then i color each section one basic color. once i've done that i add in shadows in each section, also adding lighted areas where needed. sometimes (very very few times) i pull a texture from the filters, like if i want a jacket to look almost leather-like, i would do that. after that, there's the background. don't ask me. i'm not usually very good at creating a usable character friendly backdrop.
those are just the main simple steps i take. hope it helps in some way!

this picture, called "Army of Me", is my most recent clone picture. i've done several other clone pics too. you can see them HERE

there's still a lot of shading and lighting that could be worked on in this pic, but i already spent so much time on it, i just want to get it done, y'know?
