Second Life is Art! Posted February 4th, 2014 in Art

WARNING I DON'T GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU ALL THINK CAUSE I KNOW YOUR ALL GOING TO FLAME THIS TOPIC WITH YOUR IGNORANT BULLSHIT

Now that is out of the way, I don't give a fuck if you mother fuckers never scout me or allow me to be in your Art Portal cause I use Second Life to create all my images and the content within them along with my friends. I just think it is sad your too all stuck up to realize the potential that is Second Life cause you can't look past it as being something it isn't. Cause your too narrow minded and too A.D.D. to see that SL is a community of artist. (With occasional pervs)

Second Life is 100% user created content, what I mean by that is:
1. Content in SL is either made through the ingame build system or with other sources.
2. To create something in SL you must have an idea of what your wanting to create.
3. All textures are either made by users.
4. All prims, sculpties, & mesh is created by users (Linden Labs removes any content out source from other video games)
5. Yes there are shops but all of their stuff is made by the shop owners or their friends.
6. Everything in Second Life is safe guarded by Linden Labs so that the creators will not lose their rights to their creations.

If that is not enough proof for you here is a list of videos of people showing how to build in Second Life or port builds into Second Life.
http://youtu.be/ygHD1FMSgxM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCJlE7Vagt0
and even a list of the programs SL recommends you use for making mesh for SL.
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Mesh/Creating_a_mesh

Then you have artist like me and like this making stuff in sl using all the tools they have at their use for creating content in sl.

So please tell me and the community of artist in Second Life why we are not artist and you all are so much better then us. (Sarcasm if your too stupid to realize) Cause we clearly do more then use some fancy Character Creation ingame menu like you all keep flaming about in New Grounds.

SO SCREW YOU GUYS AND SCREW YOUR OPINIONS CAUSE YOU CLEARLY DON'T KNOW SHIT

If you are the one who sculpted the porn shit you have in ur gallery , its yours and you can claim its your "art" because you crafted it.

If it isnt sculpted by you , no matter if the parts are created by a user or a company , its not your craft and it cannot be considered as a valid addition to any "art gallery" anywhere. From what i understand , what you have in your gallery equals to screenshots of the Character Creation process in an rpg game or something. To your defence you keep saying that its made of individual users , so what? Is this supposed to justify it as your own , copyrighted creation?

And if you dont like the site just go...No one forces you to stay or like it. You are vomiting drama all over the place about how people dont recognize your "art" and shit. If you were modest about it and you didnt try to pass as some bigshot artist whose work equals those of someone who actually creates his own stuff from scratch , chances are you wouldnt have a problem in the first place. -_-

So yeah , shut up already.

LISTEN UP HERE YOU LITTLE SHIT STAIN! All you fucks claiming Second Life creators and people like me aren't artist. Are afraid of us cause you know what Second Life shit and my shit is built from the ground up by people like me. It isn't like some character creation bullshit in some game like WOW or APB. In Second Life they have an ingame build system that is no different from what I and many others who are in Second Life was taught on at Full Sail or any other college, to use to create video games, 3D models, and CG.

Second Life isn't some bs where they are like here we made this give us your money. Everything in it is created from the ground up by users like me and scripted by people like me. It is a process of having to either, sculpting, making the mesh, making the prims, making the textures, scripting it, and then putting it all together inworld and getting it to work.

If your all too closed minded to see that, then I feel sorry for you cause you know what there is alot more work and time put into making these images, characters, outfit, item, etc in Second Life then you all would like to believe. If any of you jion up and go on that, "Oh I jioned Sl and there was shop and shit where I could buy stuff so that means none of it is created and this is just a fancy character creation system." then you obviously didn't check out the build system and all the info that is out there on how to create your OWN CONTENT in Second Life.

I really have no idea what to make of this. People make fan-art all the time, and the other guy's submissions look like they made them himself.

The only thing that would sway me is if you could pull out that underwear design from somewhere, otherwise I fail to see how anything you've shown proves they're stolen, other than "there's a scene where they have less clothes on".

Also can you not report people's sculptures as photographs, please. They're allowed.

Then your clearly ignoring the fact that their GMod and SFM content being on the site for certian people and playing favorites such a bioist system Newground has for what is consider art and what isn't.

What about the models themselves? You said they're from a game.

it actually looks like the artist in question is a 3d artist, and made the underwear himself.
I think he could have explained better about what is his oc, and what is not.
But other than that i dont see any problem, im not an art mod however...

Gmod= Art But Not Second Life? Posted January 23rd, 2014 in Art

I find it very funny someone can get scouted on here for doing GMod art or SFM art, but not Second Life. At least in Second Life 100% of content use to make the images is user created. Most stuff on SFM & Gmod is made by someone else and just a screen capture like from some video game. Literally there is multiple websites made with people doing nothing more then ripping models and items out of video games for use in both.

Yet Second Life which is 100% user created content. Meaning the textures, prims, sculpties, and mesh are created by a person and not some corporation for mass use for something copyrighted and protected. Meaning what you using to create the images as I have done you own. Unlike GMod and SFM which is all ripped from some other source.

So why is it GMod and SFM people are getting scouted on here and not SL artist?

Further more I model and do photography in my real life and understand the reasoning behind the rules of the Art Portal. Which I will never break or post anything that I don't have full rights too or all parties consent.

Welcome to the art forum. Could you elaborate on this? Does that mean you get to design your own clothing and items or do you pick from a selection of objects and just change the color and minor details? And did you create all of the stuff seen on your screenshots yourself? The art portal rules are very clear, that everything you submit has to be your own original work. The art forum however is more open to different kinds of images. I'd need to know more to understand how your submissions come together though.

Second Life is user credit content not like you see on Steam Workshops or in other games. It is all built from the ground up easier using the ingame build system or using a mesh build software and importing it into the game. Some stuff I made and some stuff is from stores or modded content. In the case of my artwork on here it is all stuff I had modded or bought and have the rights of the creators to use in the photos. Some request I put credit in the pictures why others just simple ask I at least tell people where to find the content.

The images are my own creations let me be very clear of that but some of the stuff withen the photos are shared content that I have permission to use in my art. I am in no way breaking the rules of the art portal.

Hello Fellow Newgrounders Posted January 21st, 2014 in Art

Names Nemis Xue I am sort of new in the idea I just made an account yesterday but been on and using newgrounds for years, just figured I would start posting some of my work here seeing as I moved and in the process lost my login for my other art portfolios that I have linked on my page. So why not make one for here since I do spend alot of time playing the games, watching the movies, and looking at the art on here. When I am not in Second Life making art of my own or hanging with my friends. I no some don't view snapshots from Second Life to be an art form and others see it as nothing more then a dress up game.

I am not here for those close minded fools, I am here just to share my art and love with the rest of NewGrounds. I mean yeah is you want to look at SL as something basic then it is a dress up game but it is some much more, cause everything is user created content no corporation or big wigs forcing you to buy dlc packs just to have a hat or be able to do something.

I just posted a quick selection of some stuff I have yet to post any where and just got done with editing and touching up in photoshop. Please stop by my profile and let me know what you all think and thanks for taking time to read my post and check out my profile.

Best Wishes
Nemis Xue
